Demko has a version its called the mg AD-10M and was first released at Maker's syndicate 2024. Was $850. As far as 1 hand closing put you index finger all the way up to that curve where the hold is at when blade falls it won't cut you if finger is up where I suggest

FYI there is a technique of putting your pointer finger forward in the finger groove where you can drop the blade safely on your finger.

Beautiful, well built knife. Definitely one of my top 5 knives. I think I have # 332…..

I own a little less than 100 knifes. But if I could not acces to à fixed blade, and I would need à reliable knife that I could count on it if my life would depend on it, it would be for sure or an AD10 or 4Max with Triad lock 💪😃

Beefy titanium beast!! I love mine and would love to get my hands on the DLC version, which is even more limited!

@@christopherbrody9926 I thought about that as well. The black looks sick. They’re on eBay for about $350-500

@@coreyketrow1376 I really might have to grab the black before they become impossible to find. I believe they only made around 250 of them. Indeed the matte black looks hard as hell!! 🦾

Nice review. I did give some thought to these, but I think I’ll have to give it a miss. Might if I could find a black one at the right price - maybe. Still haven’t bought an Eklipse for the Ti HH scale I have and then today I went and ordered one of the new XM-18 3.5 stars & stripes HH scales, so I need another XM-18 now too. Need to get another Shiro before I buy those knives though!

@@adamzappia2213 Thanks! I’ve had a few Shiros. They’re nice but they just weren’t a fit for me.

@ i guess we all find what suits us after trying some variety. I’m actually considering most of my Hinderers (my thoughts over the last few hours) and just getting one XM-18 3.5 with one of Ricks custom hand ground blades to put the new scale on.
As for Shiro, I’ve only had one which I bought about a week ago - just the Quantum Ursus with the African Blackwood inlays. Bought it on the secondary and sold it yesterday because I loved the action and fit and finish but wasn’t a fan of the blade shape and a couple other minor things. Probably going to get an F3 next week as someone here in Australia is selling one at a great price and it’s one of the models I was really interested in.
I also need to try Rockstead but I’m pretty keen to try some customs next.

While not technically a stainless steel, CPM 3V steel can be considered a semi-stainless steel because of its chromium content. It also has reasonable corrosion resistance compared to other high-carbon steels.
If you limit yourself to "made in USA" only knives (or any other product), at this point you are seriously cutting out (pun intended) many great knives made in Japan, Taiwan, Germany, other northern European makers, etc. I get it that there's plenty of good USA-made knives, and it's your choice, but IMHO you're missing out. I would NOT pay literally double the price for something to be made in the USA vs Taiwan - especially not something that isn't super duper difficult to do like a knife. It's not a space ship or even a car engine. Re. China (PRC) made knives specifically; while I'd tend to agree to avoid them, the simple fact is that I 100% guarantee that you have bought PLENTY of other things in your house made in China but didn't know or didn't care.

@@athappyhiker I don’t mind buying from other countries. But China is not one of them. And yes many things I own are made in china and other countries. But I don’t collect phones, couches, microwaves, etc. I buy Swiss made watches and I prefer to only buy American made knives.

"If it were made in China I wouldn't have bought it"... Count the stuff in your house that is made in China...

I collect knives not appliances, computers, phones, etc. I always buy American when possible. This argument is getting old…
