I appreciate your knowledge of the Emerson knives and sharing your collection. Well done 🤜🤛👏🤌
Thank you. The collection ain't what it was in this video
@chucknunface I'll stay tuned.
@macsonalaska Thanks, man, but it's much smaller
This version is available: Spyderco Military 2 Sprint Run Folding Knife Black Carbon Fiber Handle S90V Plain Edge C36PCF2 $294.00
Yes, and I got it. Thanks!
Thanks Chuck

Nice one killer finish and the size looks perfect
I like the regular better than the super on the 15
Vans. Off the Wall! 😅👊🍻🔪
Totes
That bead is cool as hell
Fo sho!
Dope blade bro 🤘🏼
I like the 15
This guys is a 🤡 clearly a fan boy of a protech and barely could find something to complain about.
This is a kershaw
Love the pocket clip. Just got my XL complete DLC.
That's nice
👍 I’ve carried the wave releases for over a decade. Have the cqc11 skinner but would like bigger and pointier 🌊 is my favorite of all.
Right on
thats such awesome cutter i love it
Very cool blade profile
Probably is my favorite model from them. 😎🤘🤘
You'd love the super 15
That is an interestingly beautiful one.
Check NC Blade. They might be on sale
@@chucknunfaceappreciate it!
Is that the original lanyard tube or did you get one of the ones from rockscale design? I’m looking to make a very similar Mil2
It's the original tube. I like how spyderco isn't making them with a really tight press fit anymore. Tight enough not to rattle, loose enough to pop out without too much trouble
@ oh right on. I didn’t know that. About 4 years ago I did a scale swap on a pm2 and it was so hard to get that lanyard tube right lol
@mattjay6633 I've scraped up more lanyard tube's that way lol
Garbage company.
Don't hold back
That is a sexy knife. Love the TS finish. There are all kinds of angles on that blade going on lol. Seems like it can't make up its mind, but is useful for all kinds of slicing and dicing. I bet the process to achieve that TS finish is similar to what Lynch NW does for their 'blacksmith' clips. They superheat the steel and quench it in oil, which leaves a dark finish to it. I'm sure after that Emerson tumbles it to get the 'battle' wear look. That's my guess. I still want to get a real Emerson someday. I'm eyeing that CQC-7 waveless. The wave feature is cool, but I'm not a ninja and I'm annoyed when my 0620 gets hung up on my pants when I'm just trying to pull her out slowly. So I'm cool with foregoing the wave feature when I have the option. Cheers bro 😎👊
Lynch does that with titanium, though. That would completely destroy the micro (and probably macro, lol) structure of the steel. It's not really ideal for titanium either, but it still works. It looks blued and tumbled. I've done that to a k390 Endura and it came out looking similar.
I'm not a big wave guy either, and I keep telling myself I'll grind them off. You may be right about the oil my only hesitation is that heating the blade would eff up the temper, but maybe it's done before ht
That's my thought- chemical bluing
@@chucknunface Yeah probably something that doesn't involve heating it too much. Unless they can heat it just enough to not reach the HT temp and screw with that part. I may actually grind off the wave on my user 0620. I've got some handy neighbors, one of them a career welder and metal worker. Probably would be a piece of cake for him. Only problem is, since the blade is coated, it'd leave a nice big patch of raw steel to stare at. I'm torn.
@Salamando3D that's the downside - it'll look weird if it's coated. Use matte black 💅 polish to cover it up.
Thanks for the quick look. The CQC 15 is definitely on my list. Fortunately I'm not far from the Emerson shop, so I have been able to pop in to the storefront and check stuff out in person. I got an Apache in the store a few months ago, and now im heading down the Emerson rabbit hole. Thanks for all of you're videos sir
Whoa cool! Having the store right there is awesome. Gives you a chance to fingerbang a few of the same model and get the one you like.
I agree. Most times I’d rather just spent more to get a knife with better handle materials. That being said, I got some RGT Ti skinny scales for my 15V PM2, Manix and Shaman and they are game changers 👍
Nice. RGT has good stuff. I've had a few scales from him.
Just bought Awt scales. Love the look and feel. But now my native has lock rock 😢
Well that's not great. Maybe disassembled it and make sure everything is tight.
I like the way you present and the knowledge you have. You need more subs
Thank you. I appreciate that. Tell a friend.
My only complaint with mine was there was a fairly obvious looking smudge on the blade when I took it out the box. It looked like it took a belt wrong well it was being sharpened and it wasn’t cleaned up perfect. I could totally be misinterpreting what I was looking at. I believe I wiped it off and it’s flawless now. I only have 1 other Spyderco pocket knife, a crucarta pm2. The crucarta pm2 came completely flawless and is still in fantastic shape, well being one of my most carried knives. There was a break in period with the new military 2 like you said. It flings open well, doesn’t really drop shut like the new Benchmade limited with artic storm carbon fiber, but I’m ok with that. I like both knives for what makes them their own unique pieces.
Thank you for sharing
I’ve never scale swapped or rit dyed. Too poor, plus I’m too hard on stuff. I just want it to cut. I think it looks cool but not for me.
I get it.
Yes! If I really like a given design but either don't love the stock scales or like an aftermarket scale a lot better, absolutely. It's usually looks or feels but in some cases, it's functional. For instance, the Flytanium scales on my Dragonfly do more than make it feel more sturdy. With the added washers and titanium back spacer, the knife seems to run better and reassembly is easier.
That was the motivation for putting ti on the k390 wharnie. Just made sense to me
Most of the time I only replace scales if they're really flimsy/featherweight, like on a Bugout or Deka for instance. Otherwise, most of the time stock scales seem pretty reasonably done. Especially metal vs plastic-y scales. But, man, no scales will ever make a Spyderco look cool 🤣😎👍 It'd be hard to wait on USA-made scales if you had good options from brands that OEM in China, but I'd hate myself for sullying a USA-made knife with something like that. Not knocking you, but I'm that dedicated to keeping it "pure." Just wouldn't feel right otherwise. I don't even like keeping my knives in cases or rolls that are made in China 😆it's the last bastion of USA-made stuff that I am clinging to...sniff 😢
Thanks. Now I feel worse. The endura is made in Japan so maybe that helps
@@chucknunface I'm here to shame...I mean help...everybody make good choices when it comes to their knives 🤣❤
I am probably older than most people watching this but I have never had the desire to "mod, personalize or otherwise change" scales or other components of any of my knives. Treating knives like a bunch of little girls with their Barbie dolls will never be in my plans! Modern knives are expensive enough without the added expense of non essential nonsense. As far as pre orders go, let those money grabbers finance their own screwball projects, I'm not a finance company ‼️
To each his own
@@chucknunfacesad he sees it that way and doesn’t appreciate actually improving knives. Most likely a case, crkt, benchmade knife guy and not actually into the edc realm
@ArrowVelocity if the EDC realm means acting like a little girl dressing up my Barbie dolls then you're correct I'm NOT in it!
@@tomweingart2337 it’s alright bucko, interesting obsession you have about mentioning little girls. Hopefully you’re not on a list somewhere for that. Can guarantee that the endura with ti scales in the vid is better than any knife you have.
ARE YOU FOR REAL, WTF❓go play with your little friends and thanks for giving me the final reason to dump this ridiculous channel ‼️@@ArrowVelocity
I want to but too broke-ish from all the knife purchases.
Heard that
Mod em all🤘🤘
Your definition of "mod' is different from most people's 🤣
@ true statement 😎
Love the wharncliffe endura. Like you, I have been searching for more premium feeling scales to go with that ba blade. I've had that set in my cart for months but haven't pulled the trigger because I wasn't sure of the quality, and they seem a little overpriced at $140(w/backspacer), all things being considered. You still feeling like they are pretty decent pickup? After seeing how nice they look on the knife I'm probably just gonna have to bite the bullet and grab a set; especially seeing's how they are the only game in town.
I'd prefer something American made like Rockscale Designs, but unfortunately there's no endura option at least last time I checked. These are pretty good. I would think Flytanium would have a sale sooner or later
my favorite Medford platform
Same
That's a sweet blade 🤘😸
Fo sho
mine came with great action and great centering, but man is there awful lock stick
You're not the first to say that
Cold Steel FM-1 is my favorite this year…
Cool. I haven't checked that out.
CJRB Ruffian
Neat
Haven’t bought many knives this year as getting back into the lowrider cars. But I did get the Twosun ts554 yesterday and really digging it. Checks a lot of boxes for me especially for $100.
That's nice. I haven't had a twosun in ages.
@ I have been trying to sell a good portion of my twosun collection at one point I had over 300 trying to get it down to around 50 so it felt silly buying it but love at first site lol.
@addicted2knives171 you sound addicted 🤣
Been carrying my Microtech Combat Troodon Gen 3 and my TAD Rexford R.U.T.
That's tight
The only knife that came out this year that I had for a short while was the Kershaw Bel Air. It's a nice knife. IMO it's not a "bugout killer" since they're different enough that I don't think they truly compete despite being about the same size (Bel Air is smaller), but a pretty nice knife nonetheless. I kinda want to pick up the new CF Satin version. Tis sexy looking. Otherwise, every knife I buy is old and discontinued, but I'll say my favorite purchase this year was the ZT 0620. Just picked up a nice user to rotate in with a sweeet mirror edge on it. Such a beast of a knife 😎
That zt is dope I'm sure. I haven't checked out the bel aire
@@chucknunface it's super dope. I bet you'd dig it, being a fan of Emerson at a minimum. Bel Air is nice, but small, so probably not up your alley 😄
@Salamando3D I've had a 620. Kinda whish I still did
@@chucknunface oh I gotcha. That makes sense. I've got two so if you ever get the inkling to own one again, especially a well-loved user, let me know 😎
@Salamando3D I just might....
Emerson Patriot and Emerson Hattin
I'm not hattin the patriot 🤣🥁 thanks I'll be here all week
🤣🤣🤣
In 2024 For me it would definitely be Strider SMF Hybrid dagger hand ground in rwl34. Also really digging Speed Demon by TRC and Inlayed Inkosi Insingo in MC
That sounds awesome.
Ive found that a lot of people dont understand what "peel ply" means. They think it means the laminated crap. Farid Mehr FMP is my favorite. Nothing's even close.
Very true. The laminated is gross but the peel ply is actually a nice texture and looks good. I not familiar with the fmp but it sounds amazing
Seems like I am always buying selling and trading. Currently all about my Double Homicide
That's a cool one for sure. I'm always doing the same
My favorite of the year is the Quiet Carry LCT drift in Vanax. I would change absolutely nothing about this knife. I absolutely love it
That's great!
Love the Medford! Eagerly awaiting the review.
I'll get er done lol.
My favorite new purchase this year has to be the microtech stitch. The Military 2 is not far behind tho.
Nice!
My favorites to use this year have been fixies, slip joints, and automatics, FOBOS Tier 1 BC, Boker barlow, Microtech Ultratech.🤙
That's a broad selection. You're a true Renaissance man
Very interesting and robust tool - will be checking out SNT's thoughts on it. With the thick bladestock comes the thick backspring, and thus the impossible pull weight (I can hear Michael McKean from Spinal Tap saying, "But this pull weight is 11" in the background:-)
Lol that's true. I probably should have messed with it before filming, but I didn't want to be bothered.
My favorites I got this year are the Winterblade M-fire and the Medford Nosferatu!
The winterblades are interesting for sure
My winterblade factor eight only had it for a week but I love it.
Borrowed? I'd like to check one out as well
I was lucky enough to score one on the oct 23rd drop
My Brown Mini FSD-I, Cortex XL, Skiff Fugitive, Asylum. Spyderco Sage 5 in Rex121 with RGT Ti scales. SPK Lamia NG scales. Koenig non flipper mini Arius corda pattern in ano blue. 💯
Lots of good ones there!
Full TI XM-24 Bowie bronze lock & showside scales, Medford Arktika, Medford Proxima😉, Trouble Blades Mofo, and Curtis Customs F3 Large ( old school version).
Jeez save some p___ for the rest of us, fella!🤣
