Glasses are really versatile. First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!" That's just way too cute! Also, boys with glasses! I really like when their glasses have that suspicious looking gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of glasses based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those half rim glasses, or the thick frame glasses, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of glasses at a buffet. I really want Asbestos to try some on or Istina to try some on to replace her monocle. We really need glasses to become a thing in Arknights and start selling them for Arknights merchandise . Don't. You. Think. We. Really. Need. To. Officially. Give. Everyone. Glasses?

If you put Nightmare in boring because "nothing changed" you might wanna look again. Her appearance hasn't changed, but her shadow emerging as Nightmare encroaches upon Gloria (rather than just having an animal in the art) is pure genius.

I just want their E2 sprites to have some changes. Pramanix, Nian, Shining, and Nightingale have really cool backgrounds but they don't translate into the sprites.

Yup, it just bugs me the E2 art has changed but not the sprites and animations, would be cool if Exusiai uses the HK416 and Texas using 2 Swords and the wolf appearing behind her when activating the 2nd skill, etc

Mostima has the best E2 art so far, at least for me her e2 art has a huge background, her right eye glows and one of the best things Ive noticed is the clock, I dont know why but I just really like it, no. I love it, her E2 art is just so badass for her as the most powerful entity in Arknights lore-wise. Gotta love it, also blue tounge, I want that.
Half of the art was probably drew before 2017, when they first started testing. Phantom's artist said that his art was finished before 2020, Flamebringer also, and I recall seeing a silhouette of Mostima's art somewhere before Code of Brawl. There's also 3 characters in Kjerag's art, 2 of which we still know nothing of and one who's probably a knight long ago.

Exu E2 Art: once u see it, u can't unsee it. Yep, she's wearing a band on her forehead.
There are a few that I think are a downgrade from the E1 but the only one I really hate is Shaw and at first I thought he agreed with reason but then realised it was 'road block', I feel she looks like a Roblox or Lego character in her E2....it just looks wrong and way too blocky.

I think the thing AK art does best is unzipping jackets. Each base art is kind of closed off, but each operator has some kind of flowing part of their clothes (dress, skirt, but usually jacket) that gets unzipped for a more dynamic appearance. Like a cape, but without its impracticalities!

My favourite E2 art has to be Matoimaru, it's just perfection, it looks beatiful and adds so much to the character as well, it brings tears to my eyes
In my opinion, e2 art should somewhat reflect how the operator has grown and reached their full potential. So some of these they could've done a bit better.

I'd personally place SilverAsh in trash. I hate what they did to his face, and he was my first 6* and my first E2 (yes, I E2ed my 6* first) So I was very disappointed.
Currently waiting for a rerun of his business suit with the little kitty 'cause captain SilverAsh looked really cool but didnt fit at all with his personality in my opinion...
As for W, might be because she is my waifu, but I like the E2, its meant to be an explosion, so of course there is debree everywhere. Plus, smile 😍

The art style changes in Arknights is pretty jarring. Like we go from sharp and badass (example Lappland) to soft and cute (Nightmare). I really really don't like the softer styles
I kinda appreciate the fact you care more that the art shows the characters personal growth than just looking cool.
Haze E2 art is underrated. It looks like she's showing her true colors plus the chains on her arms and bare thighs. Hoo boy. 😏

This is a hot take but having different artists with different art styles is just a huge drawback imo, we have scavenger e2 art which is honestly one of the best splash art upgrades in the game and then there’s liskarm, this may be just me nitpicking as I’m used to seeing League of Legends splash arts lol

I mostly agree, but Franka...? She and Liskarm are two of my favorite operators. I love their dynamic and I love them both individually as well. Franka's E2 just... looks weird, though. They've taken her badass glowing blue rapier and replaced it with Generic Sword #65761823 and a dagger, and there's nothing at all that calls back to her character, just- a whole bunch of random gadgets. Even the ring doesn't make sense to me. The stocking "fix" I think takes away some of her personality, and- well, I just don't like the face.
I like the generic-ness tho, makes her look like an actual private military contractor
