    Thanks for sharing this is exactly what I was looking for I’m also doing a LS swap and wanting to paint it chevy orange in POR-15, how well did it hold up and how many coats did you use?

      I put one coat. Held up great! Still going strong today.

    What coils are you using with the valve covers?

    Did you have any brush marks after it all dried

    • @SIMPLE.C10

      I was shocked how well it leveled out. Once you get all the attachments on the engine you can’t tell it was brushed.

    ARP makes reusable head bolts. Just FYI

    Did you really use that gasket from Amazon? Any leaks after this build ?

      Which gasket are you talking about? I didn’t have any leaks. Running great.

      What gasket are you talking about? All this stuff is Holley.

    I have an LS swapped 65 C10. Almost every part that I bought from summit racing had problems, they also have the worst customer service and refuse returns. By the way, never buy CPP parts. It is often trial & error when buying parts, so buy quality parts even if you have to pay more, it will save $ in the long run.

      I’ve used summit hundreds of times and they are the fastest to ship. The quality depends on what parts you buy from them. Some aren’t their parts they only carry them.
      I’ve used CPP parts on six builds and they have all worked well. Their disc brake and drop spindle kits are used on many high end build now. I recommend them.

      Me two. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars at summit. Only had a issue once. But actually it wasn't an issue. I once got upset for paying a restocking fee because I've spent thousands and thousands, I'd order the wrong part. I prefer them over jegs. Mostly because better discounts for amount spent.

    Bro your craftsmanship is on another level! I got so much inspiration for my 54 bel air build from you.
    Are you able to use the stock ECU and tune it to work well with your aftermarket intake setup on this engine?

    • @SIMPLE.C10
      @SIMPLE.C10  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot. Yes stock ecu works great.

      Thanks man! Got my build to this point with an engine refresh and painted it over the weekend. You make it look easy! The POR15 dried with so many runs. But still looks much nicer than an unpainted block.
      You should piece together your own kit with the parts you used compatible to the classic LS kits. That and a basic tuned ECU would sell for sure

    Do you have a part # for the ecu from summit?

      Here’s the site link. Depending on what motor you have will effect the computer.

    Is the shallow oil pan needed for the swap?

    • @SIMPLE.C10
      @SIMPLE.C10  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you’re bagged or low you’ll want a shallow. You can get GMSS engine mounts that lifts the engine up as well.

      @@SIMPLE.C10 10-4. I dropped my 66 3in in the front. I should be fine with the normal oil pan. Thanks

    What oil pan is that?

      I got it from az pro performance.
