Thanks for the review boss! Love the uber custom build man! Oh, and if there are any potential minions reading this looking for work I honestly have a job opening for you lol!
I bought the Cineback for my FX3 a month back when it was finally in stock. I JUST bought the XLR handle for the Cineback yesterday, was out of stock the last month. Thank you for another great video sir!
Love this! Still trying to figure out a way to leverage the DJI Mic 2 hot shoe adapter and the XLR handle at the same time, but I don't think there's physically enough clearance for this
Bro, this might just be my favorite video from you. I’m finally going to purchase a 2nd FX3 after watching. Thank you 🙏🏾. Btw, KP’s Cineback does not get enough props for form and function. I give it a 99.9% on rotten tomatoes 😂.
I love this build! I have one question about power. Everyone is always using the dtap to dummy battery connection but I have concerns. I’ve heard rumors that on the FX30 and FX3 have had dtap overheating issues. Second I like the idea of leaving the Sony battery in its place and run v mount power to USB-C so that if you had the need to swap your v mount while recording, you would not have to stop recording and stop an interview for example while swapping the v mount power. Is this a viable power route as well? Downsides? I’m trying to build my first rig and this just seems the safer route… would love to hear people’s thoughts!
I don’t use the cineback or fx3/30, but I power my camera through usbc via Vmount and absolutely love it compared to the dummy battery option. I find it much better. Try it out and see if you can get a usbc clamp to protect your cable and port. I don’t use one, but it’s good to have
Hey Kofi, Sweet rig. The cine rig looks like a nice addition to the fx3. A little tip for the Audio. If you put the audio in 4-chanel mode you can use the xlr-Inputs in channel 1/2 and the 3.5mm input on channel 3/4. I hope that helps :)
Hey bro! I think you may be using the same zoom affect I use. @5:06 , as well as the other zooms, it seems to be sharpening your footage to compensate for the loss of resolution during the zoom. Do you see it as well? I seems to be a lot sharper than the normal shot before the zoom. I know my zoom effect has the option to toggle on/off the sharpening of it, but it has it on by default in davinci. Commenting this in case you had it on by accident. If not, totally disregard this haha. Great video, keep up the awesome work man
great video mate reallly enjoyed it! I have the rigid pro and it is so much cheaper and basically does the same thing, you ever thought about putting this on a rs4 pro?
I just run rails, the tilta transmission v mount plates to the sr99 battery. Can't (air) travel with 212. So kind of useless if you need that. I wish someone would make a metal top handle for Sony to replace guts in or why Sony just doesn't do it. That plastic handle is great for inputs and mount, but cheap and breakable. That's my biggest gripe. So either don't use it and use a more robust top handle (where lidar and monitor mounts) or just put monitor on NATO rail. Still working on custom rails mounting plate tk get lidar below and in front of matte box. Should be simple once I get time to machine it. Other than that I use focus pro handle since it holds 15 lenses. Their monitor or gimble does not as of yet, only 3. But with all of that definitely haven't seen need for cineback. Also I believe with stereo shotgun (M/S style) and the DJI mic 2 into 3/4 you get all 4 inputs at once. At least works for me. 2 lav, plus shotgun getting direct+side ambience if wanted, though motors on DJI focus kind of kill the side info with noise. But can always boom arm that mic. You can easily add wireless XLR transmitter/receivers to avoid cables.
@@KofiYeboah my biggest problem however is I run the rs base for Ronin gimbal and tripod from small right. Would love to have a setup that goes from gimbal to handheld to tripod without rerigging. Or buying a second fx3. James Matthews has a pretty good setup however with those larger NP batteries instead of vmount.
Funny. I was legit considering getting this for my R5C when I saw they dropped one and I come on youtube and this is the first thing on my feed. Hahaha.
@KofiYeboah yeah that's my point. Your tone, delivery and context makes it sound like you think it's not the best sensor but it's one of the most powerful tools on the market.
@@KofiYeboah oh ok I guess Ive never needed to "rig out" my FX6 idk. I feel like it has everything you'd need as an all in one package. But I'm just a small time solo guy so.
