- Jay breaks down a few factors in determining the True Value of both Retro and Modern games! He covers a favorite stat of ours, Gameplay Per Dollar and how it reveals the real value of a game whether it's Rule of Rose or Madden!
Just caught this when signing in. Congrats again, and a good discussion on how to evaluate the value of a game to you. As they say, the more bang you get for your buck, the better. While I have played many JRPGs, I think the most value I have gotten for what I have paid has to go to Skyrim (okay... still an RPG). Sorry... I don't have enough in my memory to do the math.
Skyrim is a great example! Between me and my wife we must have put in 1000 hours lol Thanks for your support, Doc! ❤️
I love these graphics! Dollars per gameplay hour is a fun thing to look at. It makes you realize that games can actually be on the cheaper side of entertainment options, for the amount of hours of enjoyment they give you! Funny that most of us end up spending so much on the hobby anyways 😆 Great video!
Yeah, they are fun to put together! True, if only I was better at following my own advice lol Thanks for watching! ❤️
This is why I love JRPG. On my Switch, I spent almost 500 hours on Octopath Traveler and it's not 100% complete. On older console I don't know how to count hours I've spent 😌
I absolutely love the dollar per hour statistic. I think more people should look at it that way.
Thanks for watching! 💜
Great discussion Jay, and I always make sure to pick up those niche JRPGs on day one of release just in case they skyrocket in value, which they usually tend to do 🤣 Also HUGE congrats on reaching 1k subs! Well deserved man 🎉
I've really been enjoying doing the discussion videos! Yep, those JRPGs are game gold! Thanks for your support dude! 😎
I like how you broke down the value versus hours That was pretty interesting. The new little charts and graphs are using is cool too. I definitely love those games where you get lots of hours of gameplay and even more if you go for the completion. With so many games coming out for 70 $80 that are lackluster always online or offer pretty much nothing for that asking price. When the game comes out that is really good and offers tons of hours to play and makes it truly worth it. But at the end of the day a real value of a game comes down to how much you enjoy it and if it's worth it to you.
I love making the lil charts! Yeah, some newer games just don't seem to deliver the playtime! Thanks for watching, dude! 😎
.11 per hour is a great value. some VNs can run you a long time with the different paths . I saw that 1 K and I was yes there you go.
Yeah, VNs can be great for value! Thanks for all your support! 🙏
