I'm really sad I gave away my GameCube I had these games and just lost

Time & Eternity has been shit on since it's release and I'm tired of it. It is an amazing game and I will stand by its excellence forever. We could have had a sequel, but players were so hard on this game that the developer even apologized for it. Sometimes fans are stupid.

I nearly forgot the GameCube had some awesome JRPGs! Paper Mario TTYD and Pokemon XD are utterly fantastic ❤️ Great video, Jay!

Great video. Since others have taken the torch of keeping a PSO server alive, and there are enterprising hobbyists out there that are making an alternative broad band adapter, wonder if is worth it for people to check out? Aside from Paper Mario, the only games of note that I have for the Gamecube are Eternal Darkness and MGS Twin Snakes.

I would take Skies and Path of Radiance to a desert island. I bought Skies off eBay for $50 2004 ago. I was working seasonally at Game Stop and my managers gave me a copy of Fire Emblem. I still have both games but sadly no Cube. I miss my Cube.

Oh I would love to wish for Skies of Arcadia to get a re-release at some point

I've got a couple of these bad boys (Paper Mario and Skies of Arcadia), but I used to have Pokemon Colosseum and Lost Kingdom -- kinda wish I'd held onto those now... Though I did sell them for a pretty penny 😎

Awesome video Jay! That version of PSO is one of my most-wanted GameCube games. We've been wanting to try out that split screen mode, it's a nice bonus! I adored PSO on Dreamcast, even offline I thought it was such a fun time 😄

Have all of these except Magus. As for Folklore -- *LOVE* that game. Still have my copy. Odd, that Sony closed Game Republic for poor sales, when in fact it's Sony's fault there were poor sales, because there were poor sales of the PS3 itself at 1st ('round a year), due to the very high price tag for the time. So, odd that they attribute poor sales to the game & not that. I love Sony, but that's one of their big mistakes (aside from killing Working Designs & closing Japan Studio).

I actually own Folklore and all of the DLC for it. I need to get back to it. I didn't know it was that expensive. It's a great game. I will finish it one day. I did see some games I want to get here. I'm glad the Arland Atelier trilogy is on PS4 and PC. The same goes with Lost Dimension. That game is only 24 bucks on Steam.

I've bought Time and Eternity at 16 british pounds a few months after release. It is a fun game if you are buying it at a discount. Yes, it is not worth full price, but it has some interesting ideas, and fun battle system. I've beat the game and had fun. But if I hadn't paid such a low price, I'd probably dislike the game. So yeah, don't pay for it 50$ unless you REALLY want to play it.

Strange how bad games can become so valuable just because they're rare due to low print runs.

DIdn't really know much about most of these outside of Folklore. I still remember the demo for Folklore being one of the first things I downloaded when I got the PS3 and falling in absolute love with the game just from the music alone. I highly recommend that people give it a try if the aesthetic catches your eye, it's still such a beautiful game!

Fokelore was an interesting game I never really enjoyed it as I did not appreciate the requirements on the gyro motion controls as it hurt my wrists 😂 I still have my physical copy however I don’t play it. Sad as I liked everything about the games concept sigh

So glad I actually have most of these for a change! 😅 Though I honestly had never even HEARD of Magus, so that's cool to discover something new.

Good vid, Jay! I'm glad the market for the PS3 cooled off a bit; the only one of these I have is Folklore, but at one point during the pandemic it was going for $100+!

Shhh... no one tell him that you can EMU all of them for free :) That or just jailbreak the PS3 and play them of real hardware.

I am lucky to own a couple of these games Folklore had such a unique aesthetic and gameplay system, a shame the devs could not refine and explore these ideas further in a sequel before getting shut down. The monster catching combat must have been inspired by Chaos Legion and Castlevania Curse of Darkness which then further influenced the likes of Astral Chain and Bayonetta 3. Trinity Souls was a really obscure but cool Musou rpg, very fun battle system and it had a derivative but pleasing to look art direction Seeing how it was a sequel to an even more obscure Japan exclusive game, it was clear that Koei Tekmo wanted this to become a bigger series, a shame it didn't really caught on anywhere. Nowadays the closest thing we have to this game is Nights of Azure, but the gameplay still doesn't quite feel as smooth, and the art direction leans heavily towards being a more generic waifu fanservice game

I have a sealed Time and Eternity I picked up about 5 years back X) I was super in JRPG's and PS3 games. I still have it, might play it when PS5 is PS3 compatible.

I have the first print Chrono Trigger still sealed, but no CD. Wish I had picked up the Dragon Quest games back then...

What this video told me is that PS3 JRPGs are NOT in high demand. Of course there weren't many for the system so it's not surprising.

I actually saw Time & Eternity at my local CEX for about $75 AUD. Even though I don't own a PS3, I was tempted to pick it up anyway 🤣

Nice to see a list for the PS3! I keep meaning to pick up Ar nosurge and Lost Dimension looks like it may be worth picking up. I was going to say that Ar Tonelico Knell of Ar Ciel could make this list... but not quite. I see its price has cooled off to some degree since I picked it up.

Nice video! Folklore actually had a really cool demo that I think a LOT of people slept on. Still wanna grab that. Trinity looks cool. Was cracking up at the end cause I was like outloud "I wonder if he brings up 3D Dot Game Heroes?". And you did a lil thingy! Lol. 🤘👍

Great video Jay! Had Koei localised the modern port of Ar nosurge the prices for the ps3/vita versions would fall a bit. Its baffling KT havent localised Ar nosurge at least (they likely dont want to deal with the backlash theyd get for not localising Ciel nosurge, Ar's sister title, again)
