    Instant Sub !!
    I love my Bucks !!
I carried that 110 during my entire Navy adventure. ( 87 to 91 ) while overseas.
Always came in handy and honestly didn’t really have to sharpen too often .
I used before the Navy , during and after .
    I unfortunately sold my original.
Don’t know what I was thinking.
Out of all the knives I sold - that’s the one I wish I still had .
Wonder where it could be these days ?????
Sold back in the late 90’s .
    Anyway great video .
    Very informative ♥️🤠🙏

👍 I have purchased a few Buck 110s and 112s in my lifetime.
From the Buck website I purchase specialty versions of these knives when offered.
Years ago I did purchase three identical 110s from their custom shop as Christmas gifts for my best friend, his son, and his grandson.
Other than those items I find my Buck knives from other sources.
I have never had a problem with the Buck website and have been very pleased with the knives I have purchased there. I just seem to find better (lower) pricing from other sources (eBay, Etsy, gun/knife shows). Mostly I look for different blade steels and/or different handle inlays/scales in the Bucks I own.

Thank you, yes it seems that the Buck website is best for the custom knife offerings and occasional discount sales

I have been collecting Bucks for a few years now and have build up a good amount of them in my collection. I purchase some of my knives directly from Buck and some I purchase from other sources such as ebay and Chicago Knife Works were the prices very from day to day sometimes you just have to keep checking the prices to get the best price. Some of the advantages to purchasing from Buck is the web specials, web exclusives and limited editions. Another advantage is if you have an account and leave a knife in your cart sometime they will send you an email with a discount code. I have found that Bucks customer service is excellent. I have sent several Buck knives (110's and 112's mostly) to them for repair, blade replacement and spa treatment and they do an awesome job on them, they don't even look like the same knife when I get them back.

I love Buck knives. I have about 20. I have three customs from their custom shop. They do great work in the custom shop. However, for their standard knives, their quality control is not good. So wherever you buy a Buck from, just make sure you can return it with no hassles. I do have several Bucks with either D2, S30, or S35VN steel. As I stated, I really love my Bucks. But I have had to return a few. Usually the edge grind is bad on the ones I have returned.

Thank you for the comment. I have noticed a problem with an uneven edge grind on a 112 slim select knife I purchased off of Amazon. It was discounted and it is a cheaper grade but still made in the USA. I considered sending it to Buck. It is not worth the postage to get a warranty service. I can sharpen the edge.

Sir, if you get bit buy the knife bug.....your doomed 😂😂😂 one of the most pleasurable but expensive hobbies out there, good luck sir, I tried to buy directly from Buck, saved up the money after the family had there hands out for a few years, built up on the website, bone handle, engraving, the whole 9 yards....so we do not ship to Scotland, end of dream right there and then.....👍👍👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃

Have a number of Bucks. I typically only buy special edition or custom knives from Buck directly. I also have the advantage of living in the same town as the Buck factory and I can buy knives directly on site, including factory blemished models for a steep discount. I bought a beautiful 124 with an oak handle from the blemished stack, but heck if I can find the blemish.

Hello, as a knife collector, I often buy from different online shops, and from my experience, buying directly from the knife maker's online shop can have some advantages such as : a larger selection of knives models and versions than on other shops, as well as some occasionnal exclusive promotions.
But aside from this, I would say that there is no "one stop fits them all". When you wish to buy a certain knife, you better compare on the different online shops what are the prices and conditions at this particular time. Sometimes it will be a better deal on Amazon, sometimes on Blade HQ, Knife Center, and so on, and sometimes directly on the knife maker's website. Just like you pointed out in your video, you found better deals sometimes on Amazon, but you also found a knife model on Buck's website, that was not available anywhere else.

With my experience, websites like KaBar , Buck and Cold Steel I try to avoid .
They price their knives way high .
If I can’t find on eBay or Amazon I’ll go right to their websites .
Sometimes I will admit that I almost don’t care how much more it is - depending on how bad I want the knife .
You know what I mean ??
But to answer your question, there really is no benefit of buying right from the main source .
I’m only speaking in my own experience.
Maybe if you reach out - send them an email they might send you a discount code .
    Possible????

I do know what you mean about wanting a certain knife, a work of art. I got one tip about leaving an item in the Buck shopping cart, wait and see if they send a discount code for the knife. Yes, it is diabolical but it could work.

      @ I didn’t think of that !
Excellent tip !! It works on eBay - especially used items .

They are nice, don't see an advantage of buying from them directly. They do need some kind of customer loyalty program. Many other corporations do. I've got a few older bucks that I wouldn't part with. They are going to be passed down to my sons. Heirlooms even though the average Joe wouldn't see the value they have skinned and processed tons of protein.

The only benefit from buying online from Buck is a availability of special releases/editions. Otherwise you can do better online but beware of knockoff knives from online sources. Stick to American knife retail outlets.

Why are the princes so expensive?

    • @Wcquick
      @Wcquick  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

The materials and USA labor costs. They are finely crafted knives. Buck has several of their old style pocket knives made in Asia, the Stockman, Canoe... a few others. They are less expensive than the USA made Case, Bear and Son models but still high quality knives.

      @Wcquick  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

I noticed that also. The 110 drop point brass bolster model is being offered for $69.99 and the 503 prince is $74.99. It may have to do with the nickel silver bolster design of the 503. I just purchased a Nickel Silver bolster 110 drop point for $84.99, it is unique and collectible
