Welcome to the Morgan James Rabbit Hole. Some things to know about her... She has her BA in Classical Voice (Opera) from The Juilliard School. She continued her training after that with weekly vocal lessons where she learned to Belt. Than did 5 Broadway Showes back to back.
She still takes weekly Voice Lessons when not touring. Morgan is all about the Lyrics and she uses the tools (which as you can expect from her training are Many) to convey the songs meaning.
She also _will NOT_ let her voice be digitally manipulated in post production in _any_ way. Which is understandable give the time, practice and money she has put into it.
As a Vocal Coach I'd recommend you react to her Cover of Jeff Buckley's "Grace" (the song, though she did cover the entire album). It is a Master Class Performance of Vocal and Breath CONTROL.

Also by Postmodern Jukebox - Radiohead's "Creep", featuring Haley Reinhart is probably their most popular. The black and white video on that one really adds to the feeling of a 1940's performance.
Morgan is a Julliard graduate who went on to study jazz music after graduation. Here, you can hear both in play ... fantastic.
