First time seeing Henry Hull act. What a great character actor. Even his guest star cameo in the intro, he was in character, unlike so many others on Bonanza. Thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
Guest Star Henry Hull (1890-1977) married Juliet Fremont Hull (1884-1971) granddaughter of the very same John Fremont mentioned in this 1960 Bonanza Episode. It was a lifelong marriage.
7:53, "Corporal, that old bum was the finest scout in the United States Army."
I always liked Henry Hull, this episode and the "The gunman" he played the sheriff.
The best of all Bonanza episodes
This is one of my all-time favorite episodes!
Love this......thanks for this channel. Picking up my spirits in some tough times
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode! Hoss with his soft heart, always for the down trodden,
I know, he’s the best!!

Awesome
That’s an interesting tidbit. Thanks
Some vicious poison there..
44:10 soldiers hiding behind a bush😂😂🤣🤣🤣 such a great episode though
You didn't know that twigs and brush can properly deflect .38 slugs from 80 yards lol
This is arguably the best episode of the first 2 seasons
A brilliantly scripted and well acted episode.
Awesome to hear that, thanks for tuning in! 🤠👌🎬🍿
John Dehner was all over TV in the 60s
Peter whitney was magnificent in his role 👏
Wisdom of the ages
Lot of truth told in fiction. Get in a clutch with a man long enough you can do things like this for real. Like the whiskey splash, Hoss smash!
whiskey splash Hoss smash no HellCat to make a cash, horse back Andirondacs worldly girls to graze your sack.
Just a squad. Not a platoon. Certainly not a company, which is what a captain commands.
Charlie's a sort of prospect in a way? He's got a good sniffer- he's got a sense of spatial memory 🧠
just like digger barnes
Estas películas son recuerdos de los años 50;60 buenísimas
Charley wants to drink whiskey going across the desert in the hot sun, real smart Charley!
That's an alcoholic for you.
Hoss shouldn’t have taken his drink away. To go through withdrawal through the desert?
As always amazing quality :)
Glad you enjoyed it! You may also enjoy this film: th-cam.com/video/VlgJrDGRtiw/w-d-xo.html

Everybody had a vacation day except for hoss..
Gracias Amigo 👍🏽👌🏽🤗
SOMEBODY'S POSITIONED the waterhole!......Woody
Hoss so cool in this episode
Awesome
I can kinda relate to ol´Charlie
Charlie Trent Reminds Me Of Digger Barnes
Weird color of water
Peter Whitney a great character actor and John Dehner head man on The Virginian at one time
1:42 that has to be the dumbest attempt to stab someone I've ever seen. He stretches his arm way towards the ceiling before trying to stab Hoss lol.
It was dumb enough that he was gonna stab Hoss in a public area where a bunch of witnesses are standing.
@@coltgun876 yea there is that too lol
He wanted to jug that MF through Hoss cranium clean through to his mandible
Back in the days they were bullying also
And just like then as today, there are still good folks that will stand up for those being done wrong.
25:06, the soldiers think that Charlie found water and rejoice, but it’s poison water!
Henry Hull great actor. Charlie the character makes me want puke. 32:09 OK Charlie is growing on me.😁
HE'S DEAD HOSS!! MY GOODNESS 😂😂😂 45:00
42:35, Charlie throws the cup of whisky into the face of Morgan.
Charlie Trent’s an alcoholic, and what’s Erik doing doing out on that detail?.
👍
