I was born years after this show ended. Today you've got all these shows with all the modern flair, and yet I find myself watching this show and loving it.
I’m 18 and I find more enjoyment in this show then any I’ve seen in today’s time, they just don’t teach the same morals and life lessons that they used to
Very good episode! Poor Dan Duryea, always the villain. On the positive side, he always made a convincing villain. Very good performances from him, Pernell Roberts as Adam and the fellow who plays the Clevenger pater familias. Thanks for posting
@Miss Lucky. That's because Adam learned how to read people's expressions and body language very early in life. I think that he learned that because he witnessed Hoss's mother dying and he was around when Joe's mother died.
I love how each of the Cartwrights has his own strengths! Adam's is definitely like "spidey senses". Like Lynnette said in the comment above mine, I think a lot of his wisdom came from what he went through as a child; and I also think some came from his living on the East Coast for a while. He's had to adapt to quickly picking up on things.
So did I. He always had a very distinct voice. I know what that's like because I have a very distinct voice too. I'm 65 years old, but my voice is the same high pitched voice that I had when I was in my 20s. My mother was the same way.
Dan Duryea was a good actor but he was an entirely different man in real life. Faithful to his wife Helen for 35 years before she preceded him in death. He never remarried. Faith to Helen until he died. They had two sons Peter and Richard. Peter followed as an actor for a short time. 😊
Gerald Eskith had such a devious way of killing the men that he was after. He pretended to wipe his brow with a hanky that he had in his shirt pocket but what he was really doing was grabbing his small gun. Then he would shoot the other man before that man had a chance to draw his gun. Thankfully, Adam realized this before it was too late and Adam killed him.
Gunshot wounds were and still are often fatal. Bullet wounds are not accurately portrayed by Hollywood these days. A 45 or 44 caliber leaves a massive exit wound.

They made the best shows in the 60's. I grew up watching this show and many others like it
I know you do I like it too 😉
better than evil hollywood movies

@@gravistoad2139 Same I used to watch this with my grandparents when I was a kid. I love this show.
I like to see the four Cartwrights galloping together on their horses. "Hoss makes the most wonderful audience".
Dan Duryea is a legend. I like everything he was in. Winchester 73 is a top western.

Adam has what we call today 'spidey senses'. He has the ability to pickup on a person's 'vibe'.
especially after he hears the gunshot victim...tell his story
ms. Four Leaf clover: vibe is happy newspeak, devoid actual knowledge on how to talk with people. Big stick,
He is, what we called yesterday, wise.

Duryea always plays the slimiest slimeball.
I'm use to viewing him in Film Noir roles. This is the first time me seeing him in a Western.
He loved playing slime
him and that creepy voice, lol.
Recognized Dan Duryea's voice before he came from behind the rock! Yes Whitey Kincaid

Duryea was great in the Bounty Killer!

I love the This show so much
Dan Duryea has the softest creepiest, most dangerously deadly voice, that I’ve ever heard. 👂👂

Another awesome episode
Good flicks I remember my child time
I notice they pass those sideburns around to many of their guest stars.
I'm so glad you played the whole intro. Great lead up to a great show❤❤❤
It's so funny how one gunshot kills everybody, and they know they're going to die

funny?
if they didnt kill one shot...men would carry cannons around their belt...
another brain surgeon
Except for the Cartwrights😂😂😂😂
And endless one- punch knockouts!
@@a-train3503 Or REAGAN walking out of the hospital 12 days after being shot back in 1981, because I contend that was fiction too.
12:30, Jason is startled over the news of Escot.
17:51, Escot surprises Jason at his job office.
For all those who don't know they would run those large long sluices for up to a year before doing a clean out.
32:12 "I hit the bed with my gun. Should we do another take?" "NO."
Great Bonanza ❤thanks for the transmisión
20:22 Adam tells her, "Mariette, you're just about as close to being a sister as I'll ever have."
46:16 Mrs. Blaine kisses her "brother" on the lips

Lol. Sleepy Joe is 1,000 times worse.
And it’s worse this year 2024 😮
Yep. I haven't seen the troublemaking dogs for awhile.
5:55, "...Oh yes sir...I reckon!"
When I was a young girl 👧 I knew a boy 👦 named Curtis Clevenger.
No 1 cousin is James hong.
Luv Adams gunbelt 👍
33:58, the duel between Escot and Clivinger.
For some reason I'm looking for Audie Murphy
you look kinda like randy quaid
30:28, the Clevengers ride into town.
Aaaah. The best laid plans of mice and men often sometimes go awry. 🐁🐁🐁🐁🐁😊😊😊😊😊
Epee means "sword" in French.
nice
Had me on the edge alright. Don't remember when last I hated a western baddie like this. Lee Van Cleef, Angel eyes perhaps.
