AC Valhalla: 5 Major Choices & Decisions which will affect Sigurd (How to get Good / Bad Ending)

- This gameplay walkthrough from ‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (AC Valhalla)’ will show you how to get the good or bad ending in AC Valhalla campaign story-line. This video will show you the 5 MAJOR choices / decisions which affects the ending with Sigurd.

Sigurd Choices
Sigurd Choices affect the ending that you get once you’ve completed the whole storyline.
If you make at least 3 choices against Sigurd, these will count as “Sigurd Strikes”, and he will dislike you, prompting him to leave England and go back to Norway at the end of the game. On the other hand, If Sigurd likes your choices, he will be more likely to stay in England at the end of the game.
Sigurd Choice # 1
At the end of the Norway Chapter during the Prologue story arc, you’ll be presented with either to take the Cargo with you to England or leave it behind. Taking the Cargo with you will be considered as a Sigurd Strike while if you leave it behind, there’s a greater chance that Sigurd will remain in England at the end of the story.
Sigurd Choice # 2
At some point in the story, when you get a dialogue with Randvi to take her on a joyride, either agree to take her or skip this part. If you agree to take her, the adventure will end at the top of a tower with an option to romance her. Romancing Randvi will count as a Sigurd Strike. However, if you choose to stay friends with her or you don’t take her on a joyride in the first place, you’ll stay on good terms with Sigurd.
Sigurd Choice # 3
During the Main Quest, “Blood from a Stone”, in the Oxenefordscire story arc, you’ll have an argument with Sigurd and Basim. In this argument, you’ll have the following dialogue choice: “Take Breath”, “Punch Basim”, “Enough of This” and “Punch Sigurd”.
Sigurd Choice # 4
During the Main Quest, “A Brewing Storm”, in the Ravensthorpe story arc, once you’ve defeated Dag, you’ll have two choices: either give him his axe or don’t. If you choose the former, you’ll not get a Sigurd Strike. Otherwise, you will.
Sigurd Choice # 5
After completing the Essex Story Arc, get back to the longhouse at your settlement Ravensthorpe. Your entrance will prompt a cutscene. After the cutscene, you’ll need to make a judgment on Sigurd’s decision as a leader to solve a dispute between two individuals. If you support Sigurd’s decision, you won’t get a Sigurd Strike. I got by just barely by doing 2 good choices in oxenfordshire and giving dag his axe Holy shit the last choices I can make is the trial oh my god 3 bad decisions and 4 good ones. Good lord I got the good ending by one choice

Honestly, the “bad” ending makes more sense and realistic. Me and many others prefer the bad ending, so I’ll make my choices to my feelings and thoughts accordingly as I suggest everyone do.

To be fair most of the bad decisions are way more satisfying in the moment. Sigurd was a douchbag off rip so I made it a point to smash his woman for sure. Dag was also a douch, so nah he’s not going to Valhalla. Pretty sure I’m 5/5 going towards the “bad” ending. As Eivor, you literally build the village from the ground up, in my opinion he’s been jarl from the jump. Sigurd was to worried about becoming a god to actually do anything beneficial for his people even before he was captured.

I chosed "I feel the same way", and before rescuing Sigurd i broken up with Ranvi, Sigurd didn't notice. Then i have fun with the huntress and the inkeeper. At the end of the game i went back to Randvi. I find the "Bad Ending", more logic and real.
Lmao I did the same but after he said he knew I went back and rekindled the relationship

@@midnightbluestar13if you get the "bad" ending and you had previously romanced randvi, sigurd tells you that he knew about it. even if you broke up with her. anyway, during dag's wedding you can restore the love relationship with randvi
man im playing ac valhalla too i beated up sigurd and sent him to enemy prison and i kissed his wife i will probably get banend from game
Another helpful tip if you come across this is that there is one exception that i have found like me if you have done 3 wrongs and only 2 right of course sigurd is supposed to leave but, if you pick the top dialogue when you talk to him at the end of brother mission he will remain in england

I like the fact that you only need to do 3 out of 5 'right' in order to get the good ending, when all 5 choices are needed you end up hamstrung to the 'good' choice lest you get the bad ending, by only needing 3 you end up with 16 possible combinations (10 possible combinations of 3 correct choices, 5 possible combinations of 4 correct choices plus choosing all the correct options) so you have a lot more freedom to choose personally instead of being limited by ending requirements.

Just flat out though dag was so stubborn and irritating like I feel like brov from the King Arthur movie when he was like I never had any power or any desire for it, like bloody hell dag you really taking the piss. Who built the settlement and found the materials ? Who does Sigurd call and consider his brother oh yeah me not you. Who took the time out of their day to check up on everyone in the settlement run through their dialogue and do their quest if they have it ? I’m going tbh I’m a chill person IRL but dag just not it.

The only good choice I made was leave the resource to Styrbiorn. I quickly grew a dislike towards Sigurd so I did everything to make sure he leaves. I just wish I got a 5/5 strike against me instead of 4/5. Got the "bad" ending I wanted.
Totally agree. I realize I am 3 months late but at first I was determined to not have the romance was Randvi so I turned her down, but as I progressed the main story line I went back and started it anyway as Sigurd irritated me.
I don’t like Sigurd either lol. I just punched him and basim a while ago.

I done the good dag one but if basim would shut his mouth then he wouldn’t have got rocked same with Sigurd
When Basim told me to stay in my place, rocked his shit, Sigurd too. Oh well.
I would punch Basim every single time, I had the chance. Lol, but would not punch my brother. Also, I wouldn’t have dated Randvi, if I knew that I would get a second chance later on in the game. And in death and honor, I would always give a dying man his honor.

Nah you’re good. If you make two bad decisions you’re fine as long as the other three are good. I disagreed with Sigurd’s judgement and punched him and basim. I didn’t date Randvi, I gave dag the axe, and I left the resources on n England and I was fine.

Kind of kills the idea of a structured narrative if I’m allowed to alter it how I see fit. I must chose the options which I completely disagree with just to get an ending that was intended for the actual story. Makes me feel like I am failing a game if I don’t make the correct choices based off of my own desired actions to take. I wanted so badly to disagree with Sigurd on the dispute but screw me if I don’t agree with him I won’t get the correct ending. Ubi, what the hell?
I sorta get it but it doesn't make sense for him to still be cool with you after you've displayed the pattern of continually going against his wishes. I feel like him being best bros with you knowing you fucked over his dad, fucked his wife, punched him, and sided against him in a dispute would be even more immersion breaking
I feel the same way. What's the point of telling a story if half the audience doesn't even get the "true" ending? That's why i hate the new AC games now. They used to have a strong story and I felt invested, but now i can choose different outcomes and the whole game just feels pointless. Ubisoft has definitely gone to shit in recent years, which sucks because I absolutely loved this franchise. I even skipped playing Odyssey specifically because of the RPG elements to dialogue. I don't really mind being able to choose your own path, but when that mechanic is implemented into an already established linear series, then I think it just throws all the hard work out the window
I mean tbh it depends on how you see the endings. Imo Sigurd leaving isn’t that bad. Especially after he spent the whole game being an ass to Eivor. He was a terrible jarl. And tbh I think Styrbjorn knew that and it influenced his decision with Harold.
I took the resources, said no to randvi, punched basim, didn’t punch Sigurd, sent Dag to Valhalla, agreed with Sigurd. Good ending!

It ticks me off you can't save Layla. First time I beat the game I collected everything you could possibly collect from Wealth, Mysteries and Secrets then beat the game just to get the ending where that self righteous prick Basim imprisons her in the animus technically killing her. I rage quit for almost a year. My good ending would've been a lot better than Basim killing Layla. After Eivor and Sigurd make peace. Sigurd would tell Eivor he'd stay behind in the animus just in case someone came looking in the future. Then it would be present day when Basim and Layla meet. Basim would try and imprison her with the same comment where's the angry one? Sigurd appears saying I'm right here and punches Basim in the face saving Layla, imprisoning him back in the animus. Which leads to the secret ending from completing the animus anomalies you find in world. It would be one of not betraying Sigurd, finishing all animus anomalies and finishing the Asguard quests for Valka before beating the game. It would be one of those things a lot of hard work and patience to achieve the goal.
Oh and forgot also destroying The Order.

I did good with dag and the crates. Loved Ranvi and called Sigurd's judgement unfair. Punched Basim but not Sigurd. I got the good ending. Anyone know why?

You can turn her down flat out and at the end when her and sigurd split you can get with her anyway...but Petra's a better option imo...I never wouldve played this if not for gamepass but it's alot of fun

You should be fine I think you only get 3 bad and you get the Bad version. You can only get 2 wrong that’s it to get the good version that’s what I was told

I read that I can.. once I returned to raven thorpe after she confessed her feelings to me the option to romance her was still there however I went and did another quest.. so is it still possible to marry her after they break up please?

Ok so what I'm gathering is that there are 6 choices: Take the supplies, Date Randvi, Punch Basim, Punch Sigurd, Send Dag go Valhalla and sigurds judgement. I've dated randvi and took the supplies so am I allowed to have 1 more bad choice to still get the good ending?
Also does breaking up with randvi counteract the choice or is it permanently a bad one?

Honestly, i was hoping id be able to kill Sigurd too. I dont feel bad about making every wrong choice. Whats crazy is Sigurd trues to act all righteous when he hated his father more than anyone, the last visit to him where he just berated him proved as much, he didnt do a damn thing for Ravensthorpe, i did everything, Dag literally questioned everything i did when i was supposed to be in charge but somehow he was in the right but Eivor wasnt when Sigurd was being a bad leader. Ad much as i enjoyed the game, the ending sucked

Looks like I'm ending eith thr bad ending. I punched both Sigurd and his dumb assassin friend. I cant recall my first major choice. But after two hundred hours played there Kis no way I'll play this game again. It's too long
