Thank you for your super interesting videos!! 😍 Have you ever thought about creating your own podcast with some long conversations on it? It would be really great!! :)
Hi camile.. i really love all of your video.. i also follow you in IG.. you and your husband both are so awesome as a teacher.. you are great.. I have a question. You speak about past. He says: “I would work for my brother-in-law’s business.” Why he used “would” for the past ? What grammar construction it is?
Actually “would” is also to express past period/moment but i still get confused with used to and would . I hope Camille or someone can help us thanks 🙏
My teacher taught me that the difference between "used to" and "would " is when you used to do something with a specific frequency. Ex: I would go out with my grandpas every Sunday afternoon .
Hi Yes the other comments are correct. I could have said, "I used to work for my brother-in-law's business during summers in University" or "During the summers in University, I would work for my brother-in-law's business." To me as an English speaker, the differences, if any, are subtle but with "WOULD" I NEED the context: "during the summers in University." With "USED TO" context isn't necessary but is helpful, this is a correct sentence: "I used to work for my brother-in-law's business." Without context using "WOULD" the meaning becomes a potential action I could do: "I would work for my brother-in-law's business" I hope this is helpful :)
Good morning, everyone! Well, I was a farmer in the past, but now I'm a cook. Thanks for this amazing content.
Thanks for responding :) What did you cultivate as a farmer?
I admire this family a lot, I am learning a lot of English from Camille.
Thanks so much ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks Camille, 😍 love it

I was an economist in the past. Could you tell me why did you use would when you were talking about the past jobs?
Exactly, I have the same question
I think this was answered in another comment :)
