Brady I hope you know that your tutorials are really the gold standard on TH-cam in terms of presentation. Professional audio and video, no filler, and an extremely tight script. Always a joy to watch, and I don't think that stuff is just polish on top - a good presentation makes learning easier. Keep up the good work!
These tutorials are so well made, and I love the speed and amount of detail. No need to do it all 1:1 along with the user, just pause the video or rewatch. These are just visual treats and I love it!!!
Your ability to explain the "why" behind each choice and how each thing works is unparalleled. I wish you could make every tutorial on TH-cam, regardless of the thing being taught. Bravo.
Oh man. I almost forgot this wonderful feeling of an adventure and excitement someones tutorial can bring. It is like I am back to a beginning of my journey in CG and tutorials of Andrew Kramer
Not only your tutorials are fresh and innovative, but your explanations and the videos themselves (editing, remarks, etc.) are equally awesome. Thanks for sharing your talents.
I don't think I've ever watched a tutorial so well explained and easy to follow! And it wasn't just the mechanics of what to do, but what is going on and how they work. I appreciate the hard work that went into it. Walked in to this video curious, and left a fan of Texturelabs!!
What a great time to be alive! I wake up have my Costco coffee and watch a presentation on gradient noise and subtleties of blending layers! Decades ago I would have to dig this stuff up in imported uk computer arts magazines… no more!
wow ! I LOVE the way you explain how each effect and layer works ! it makes me understand so much about them and makes it easier for me to know what changes what ! amazing tutorial! definately gonna watch all your videos, keep it up !
Another great one. Huge respect for the quality, clarity and actually new stuff you teach us. I mean even after 17 years of Photoshop i know every single one of these videos will teach me something new. Thank you!
Great to see you again. Amazing, as always, yours are top of the top of the line tutorials... especially the explanations you give of the logic behind all the steps that you take, it teaches us how to think in terms of the program, not just recipes. Really Cool. Thank you...
Man, you are the coolest. You've got the most unique ideas for working with photoshop ever. Every time you upload a video I know it's gonna be something I've never seen or thought about before, despite using photoshop for over 15 years. This one is gonna come in so handy with integrating good looking noise into my art.
There are definitely a lot people being as good at photoshop as you are, however, no one could ever compare to you on how to explain the logic and idea behind each steps in such an intuitive way! I could hardly imagine where else I can learn these priceless knowledges for free! You Are Amazing!
You are a genius! I love your tutorials and teaching style. I always love knowing what happens if you take it too far and why I can use it, and you present it very well! I'm working on a 70's baseball card design for an animal sanctuary and wanted this exact look but couldn't get what I wanted. Then I refreshed my subscriptions and bam! Well done again on yet another fantastic tutorial!
This is great. I've tried a couple of different images. One was a simple one, another was more complex, so I combined the reticulation differently with the softlight and normal on different parts of the image. Worked really well. Thanks for the gradients.
I am blown away by the care to earnestly explain and teach the viewer how to use this particular thingie, as opposed to simply describing it, as most do. Splendid little tutorial, thank you very much! o/
GOddamn this is my first time on your channel and holy shit bro. This is what youtube tutorials need. A deeper understanding on your tools and explain it in a very simple way. Cool video dude please make more.
It’s so good to see you back on TH-cam, Brady! Your work is invaluable - I find myself yet again walking away from one of your videos with a ton of new knowledge and ideas!
Your videos really are amazing. At first I'm like "That effect looks cool, I don't know if I'll ever use it cause it's so niche, but I'm curious how he makes it looks so good". Then I'm like "I can use these techniques in SO. MANY. WAYS." You make us really think outside the box with your videos, and remind that the intended use of each Photoshop tool it's just ONE of it's uses. If you understand how it works you can expand it to so much more. Also, who else wants a full video about blending modes and the curves that represent them? I do.
Two minutes in, and I've subbed. TWO MINUTES!!!!! I'll be deep diving this content soon. Already learned something game changing in the first two minutes. Wow.
I already post few comment on your channel and maybe some of them could feel redundant but honeslty, once again, you're one of the very few channel to share with us a lot of "interesting tip". I mean by that, with a creative way to use them perfectly and not just a random tutorial. What's amaze me the most is also the very pedagogic way you share it with a lot of information. It can be a text, a diagram or just the way you explain it. You put a lot of effort in your video and content. You are for me one of the best creativ content creator among all people i follow ! One more thing, i do some risography by myself. And i have to say your technique is a good way to "simulate" a render. I'm pretty sure if we combine the classic Noise and the reticulation one, we can fine tuning even more the end result. Anyway, it give me a good start to play with ! Great job ! I really mean it. Cheers from France.
This will be great for screen printing prep, a great effect to translate a difficult to separate image into something that only uses a few colors, while avoiding the inorganic look of halftones. You have the best presentations. Thanks!
I was having a real hard time finding good tutorials on this topic recently but this absolutely made my day, I will definitely be referring to this video often!
Great tutorial! Like your presentation style....just the right amount of detail, no distracting music, very helpful. Thank you kindly for making the free resources available. Looking forward to trying this out. Just subscribed so I can check out more of your tutorials :)
You're a genius. I'm convinced you know how to get more out of these programs than anyone at Adobe. Gonna have fun playing around with this while I await the next video ;-)
I have something you should see. I've been doing something similar, but I made a pattern that I can scale and rotate that's doing the same thing as your reticulation layer. So I can actually scale the dither to wherever I like it. It's based on your halftone pattern technique.
This is amazing, thank you very much for sharing! I leveled up my skills a lot thanks to your channel. You explain things in a simple and comprehensible way, I love the freebies and appreciate the mid length of the videos! You are de MVP!
imcrying rn because this is the only helpful tutorial an ontop of that you gave everything to us including the pack for free.... i hope ur day always feels better
This is the tutorial I have been waiting for (but also I eagerly await every single one of your tutorials). I have been experimenting with this all week.
This effect is so dope! Thank you Brady for your instruction and ability to convey your technical knowledge with precision & entertainment. You are easily one of my favorite online Instructors. Mahalo from Hawaii! 🤙🏼
Always amazing to see your processes and i love your explanations. Just the right level of detail to cover all bases while still maintaining a very digestible pace. ❤❤❤
They say a genius can take something tremendously difficult and explain it in such a way that anyone can understand it. Brady might be the best Photoshop teacher I have found.
Hi Brady. Great to have you back. You have a really cool text effect at 50s in the video before you add the reticulation. It would be great to see how you achieved that - maybe a short? Thanks for everything.
I really enjoyed the step-by-step process of this creative effect. The level of control for this leaves a lot of room for artistic expression. I had never heard of matching the number of gradient stops to the number of posterized stops but this makes exquisite sense. Great stuff!
Thank you very much! I've been searching for something like this for a long time now to achieve a more tangible aesthetic for posters and even illustrations, evoking the essence of the 80s era.
Great tutorial as always! I'll be looking to use this in an upcoming project. Tutorials like this I find are great for adding a little spice to an otherwise boring stock image.
Another absolute banger. This is super relevant to some work I'm taking on right now and I look forward to seeing how it can compliment what I've already built. Thanks!
Yo, great tutorial my dude. I haven't voluntarily smashed a subscribe button in a while but this is top tier stuff. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge, you're a great communicator.
This is one of the BEST Photoshop tutorials I've ever watched. Perfectly paced, engaging, everything explained so well, and super helpful things to know! Thank you so much!!!
I got to this video by searching for halftones, and while it wasnt exactly what I was looking for, it got me hooked until the end. Very nice technique!
So great as usual, and agree with the comments below about your presentation style. Thanks very much for this Brady - I will certainly enjoy putting this to use!
Great tutorial, Brady. Happy to see you back. Love that reticulation noise, I've been using camera raw noise for this effect, and the reticulation effect has such a nice quality to it. Thank you, Sir!
my lack of focus makes it so hard to keep up with tutorials. I've been trying to get back into designing and trying to enjoy learning these tools again, but it gets so frustrating. continuely find myself zoned out and have to gather my thoughts. idk what you put in this video I only had to go back once and i followed the entire process and my brain feels so light and stimulated that I can actually continue to do it and not shut it all off and say "okay that's enough learning for the day" - I also didn't know I was subbed to this channel! so this is all to say! thank you for helping my brain good sir!
First time I watched a tutorial here, and this was exactly what I was thinking
100% agree!!!!! I love so so much this channel.
There are literally only two Photoshop tutorial channels you need - this one and Piximperfect!
this is true
I think this everytime I see a texturelabs tutorial. It really is the gold standard
I’ve never seen someone explain blending modes as a curve across a spectrum! I’m sure it’s a simplification, but it’s very intuitive and digestible.
Filmmakeriq has a really good video on blending modes that I wish I had seen earlier.
I love the simplifications because it just makes things less intimidating for us beginners.
This is the coolest effect tutorial I've ever watched
These tutorials are so well made, and I love the speed and amount of detail. No need to do it all 1:1 along with the user, just pause the video or rewatch. These are just visual treats and I love it!!!
Thank you! I try to build those little graphics on the side when it's more of a recipe - specifically for a "pause and build"!
I really dig the little explanation on how soft light blending works vs the other.. That is SO valuable! @@Texturelabs

This is the magnum opus of tutorials. Every content creator should have an inspiration on his method of explaining.
What a great time to be alive! I wake up have my Costco coffee and watch a presentation on gradient noise and subtleties of blending layers! Decades ago I would have to dig this stuff up in imported uk computer arts magazines… no more!
Best photoshop/design tutorials on the TH-cam. So underrated! I would hit the like button 10x if i could.
wow ! I LOVE the way you explain how each effect and layer works ! it makes me understand so much about them and makes it easier for me to know what changes what ! amazing tutorial! definately gonna watch all your videos, keep it up !
Some people have Tutor skills as a gift. Love that pragmatic use of animations. They really have a purpose and arent just ornaments
Another great one. Huge respect for the quality, clarity and actually new stuff you teach us. I mean even after 17 years of Photoshop i know every single one of these videos will teach me something new. Thank you!
We're not worthy! We're not worthy!
Glad to see you back at it dude! Another awesome tutorial!
Great to see you again.

Рад что вы снова нашли время для нас! Это отличные и простые с точки зрения усвоения уроки. Спасибо за труд! 👍👍
I don't know how you do it; come up with these mind blowing techniques. Another stellar video, Brady. Yeah, we missed you.
