Your tutorials are so incredibly refreshingly produced. No distractions of self-promotion or sponsor segments, just crisp to the point information and freely accessible resources without the obligatory subscription to a newsletter.
i've been working on a netflix series for the past 8 months, and it features a whooooooole bunch of 1970's newspapers, like a crazy amount. and i've been so happy with my halftone setup and now you come and destroy it all by doing it so much better. THANKS ALOT. ;)
Leap of faith experiment. Man you are going to revolutionize PS tutorials on TH-cam. You really make the process easy and straight forward. You must have spent hours experimenting and reading Photoshop books.
After almost 20 years away from the industry, this channel has resparked my interest and creativity. I guess I owe you a huge thank you. Guys and gals, don't forget to support this channel. Seriously donation-worthy!
13 years of Photoshop for me. And I keep watching tutorials, but I often think they're useless (to me), that I have a better way to do this or that. Sometimes I even shout at the monitor "WHY YOU DO THAT IN THAT WAY!?". Well, this channel makes me feel stupid. And bad at Ps. This software is famous for having 100 ways to do the same thing, here I see the 101st way, and it's often mindblowing. I even started putting the thumbs up before I watch the video.
I love how everything you make is easily editable. Most actions/tutorials aren't that way, but you make it so simple to just drag in a new image below these editable adjustment layers. Amazing.
Speechless. The process on what I couldn’t find much information on years ago, is now in a formatted youtube videos that’s carefully explained. Thank you for your service!
Just want to take a second to send you some appreciation for your videos. Not only have you brought some really interesting and lesser known techniques to the table, but your presentation style is so straight forward that the skills don’t get lost in the ‘fluff’. It’s not a word of a lie to say that your channel has already been more valuable than many of the courses I have taken in university, and I hope that this is successful for you and continues to grow as it has since the start with this awesome content. Just pitched in on Patreon and I hope to be a long time supporter! Thanks Brady!
That's really awesome, thanks Matt. Ha ya my phone just chimed and gave me the little Patreon notice... really appreciate that! Kind of a leap-of-faith experiment to put out the best stuff I can and just see what happens. So for you to support the project is inspiring!
I come in to these tutorials expecting to learn a cool effect, which I do, but then along the way there's just so much that I have to pause and go back to process all the amazing extra tips along the way. And I've been using Photoshop for nearly 20 years! Just smart, intuitive use of the tools in a way I hadn't thought of before. It's no surprise this video has no dislikes! Amazing
There aren't enough words in the dictionary for how much I love this channel and website. I'll be a subscriber as soon as I can afford it, it's just invaluable. Thank you so much!!
Love how this tutorial not only teaches that halftone effect but also gives out some other Photoshop nuggets that I’m just not used to working with. Looking forward to playing with some of the ideas shown and how it can make screenprinting setup so much easier at work!
I'm using Creative Suite for more than 10 years now. I'v watch an absurd amount of tutorials over the years. The quality of your production put you amoung my personnal "Top 3 TH-cam Channels for Photoshop Tutorials". You are actually gaining more than 1,5K subs per day. You should easily pass the 100K sub by June. If I was a gambler, I would say that you will hit the 300K mark before the end of this year. And it would be well deserved.
It's just great... I follow Piximperfect and PTC for most of my photoshop learning. I have learnt a lot from them. Now I found yours, thanks to the TH-cam algorithm...I have never found this detailed set of instructions regarding halftones in a photoshop tutorial. Thank You. Subscribed instantly after watching the video. It was a great tutorial.
Hey Brady, i just want to thank you for this amazing content, you allways keep it very fresh , original , and bring together the best , most comprehensive tutorials on photoshop in the whole internet. You make a super complex process look easy. BRAVO!
You can see the comments? I am also one of them, man I really don't have words for this. You are Amazing, please don't stop. We all will support as much as we can.
I've seen so many halftone tutorials, and this is still by FAR the best one. I even took this one step further and created my own halftone effects (lines, crosses, etc) using the dot texture as a reference. Thank you for the knowledge you provide!
You have made me a much more interesting designer in three days. I have watched and followed along throughout this weekend. I've commented a couple of times but feel compelled again: thank you a ton for this. You're a natural teacher and your pacing rocks.
Man your channel is so underrated, u have amazing videos, i have almost seen all the photoshop tutorials on youtube and used to think that I cant find anymore unique tutorials, until I found your channel, absolutely original stuff, amazing techniques, keep it up and thankyou very much.
I am infinitely grateful for your sharing of knowledge and the way you manage to popularize your experience. I must admit that to follow you I have to pause and go back and read again, pause and try again, many times... That's the way... but in the end the result is simply amazing.
throughout my use of photoshop it's been very well downhill, i loved it when i started it out and i learnt it quickly. then my learning curve died down because i couldnt find a tutorial well explained enough or well, straight to the point without big breaks or cuts. this continued for like a year til 2 days ago. saw your after effects tutorial, expecting really heavy stuff and difficult to follow but it was the opposite, i never touched after effects deeply before that tutorial and now i am experimenting on it on my own. then i just kept watching your content and are step by step learning my favourite ones in photoshop. thanks to you my work can thrive and well make my own stuff! this is super refreshing :D thank you.
It's nice to see how ppl work and compare to my own. This is a great way to achieve good result, relatively quicky. As always, you're crystal clear in your explanation, even for me as no english native. Great job, underrated channel for sure.
Ok, tutorial aside (which was super precise, thorough and clear), the way you added the labels over the layer to clarify the blend mode or effect is so damn helpful. Thank you.
you are someone I don't know but is very good at sharing this knowledge, while people I know (my friends) don't want to share this knowledge.. thanks bro.. u awesome
This is amazing!! Because of your upload and kindly resources provided, so many detail effects and techniques I have learned from your videos, I can finally continue to redesign my project and just making my work go more easier and faster, really helpful!! Thank you! POWERFUL GRAPHIC DESIGN SENSEI!!!
Looks SO much better than the halftone effect from the pixelize or filter gallery, also works in realtime, instead of having to process with each adjustment. Tysm.
You are very knowledgeable, and your presentation is very professional. Even as an old photoshop cat, i learn so many new things on your channel... Subscribed!
I still can't believe the amount of game-changing methods I am learning from this channel. Thank you thank you thank you Brady for your amazing work!!!
TNice tutorials is much more simple than I thought with you explaining it. Currently half way through and I feel like I know everytNice tutorialng already lmao
Wow, Thank you for this video. I have tried to figure out a half-tone process that was easy and customizable for a long time. This video and the supporting files was VERY helpful. Thanks.
These are such great tutorials. I start them thinking I'm not going to learn anything or "nahh, I probably won't use that" and within 2 minutes I'm applying the techniques to EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WORKED ON. Props.
I love love love the procedural way you create effects. It's so satisfying to see a system be created that can be tweaked and adjusted later. Also after watching all your videos I've developed a new love for the gradient map tool. It's really taking a lot of my designs to new heights. I feel like such a dummy for having such an amazing tool under my nose all these years, and not utilizing it as much as I should have
Your tutorial is awesome! It has all the elements of what a tutorial should have, easy to follow, the way you speak, the onscreen instructions and a quick explanation of what each step does. No unnecessary jibber jabber, and such a functional method to be able to implement into my projects. Your tutorial page is the only one I have notifications turned on for. Thank you for such amazing work.
Thanks again for a great tutorial. I am not a total stranger to Photoshop, but I have learned more about finessing effects and blending modes than ever before. Thank you.
Me watching be like "What kind of photoshop have i been using?"
