When I was a kid and raced motocross I was my entire crew. It taught me quite a bit. Some rebuilds didn’t go as planned and I didn’t make events as well. As you said, I still had an amount of fun that you couldn’t put a dollar amount on. Even now as a professional in my field, I still make mistakes. An old timer once told me, every mistake is an opportunity to learn! Hate to see you not make the race, though. The truck sounded rowdy!!!
This is why I order stuff from you guys! This is why I started watching you guys a million years ago!! Thank you so much for showing the struggle of motor sports. The struggle of juggling a family and doing cool shit! No one talks about that! Keep grinding!! Like you said nothing compares to it!!!!!
I love watching these race prep and racing videos, even when it doesnt go as planned (especially then?). Keep these coming theyre awesome, even when you cant make a race! It lets me live vicariously through you, and really ramps up the temptation to keep browsing your website for some go fast parts of my own 😅
The struggle is real!! Sorry you didn’t make AZ 😢 but I’m glad you guys made MT last week!! Thanks for sharing all the cool stuff with us!! Keep it up!! 👍🏻
Havent watched much here in a while. Aww man that sucks, sounded friggen amaxing. A few years ago i was soooo close to getting a full build parts from you guys. But then i bought a house and that went out the window. But im hopeful in a few more years to have the funds again. Love these videos.
Great jobs guys yall work hard thats for sure, and have stuck with it. I like the fact that yall are Very Transparent, man i was doing it from 1998 to 2010 when Everything was such a secret, when you learned something great the hard way and was kicking ass every weekend the last thing we did was spill our guts,, lol. Things got a little more relaxed on CompD after maybe 2008 or so...anyway best of luck to you guys! Still wish yall would ditch the transfer case and put all that power to the back like a normal drag car and learn the 2wd setup stuff. LOTS of e.t. on the table
I do think about going rwd. It just seems that it works great or not at all with these heavy trucks. Most trucks are 4wd though so it would really be fun to have an advantage
1.30 60 foots at 4600# was fun. My black C10 and Stuckys green pick up along with a few others were just dialed in and worked..man do i wish I had my today's hot rod trans back then. Rossler 2.10 straight cut t brake of course and gear vendors o.d. I got my brother in laws truck back that he raced in Street Stock back then. It's a 1000+ hp 441" sbc it does pretty well on the street. Still having fun
I just put a Steed on my truck using the Stage 8 studs. Doing it in the truck was a pain. The 6 top studs were easy but getting that locking tab on the bottom 6 when I couldn't see them took me like 30 minutes and about 10 trips under the truck to pick them all up after dropping them 🤣
I have a 1985 BMW 524td with a factory 2.4L I6 Diesel that gave up the ghost after 12 years and 312,000 miles with an HX35(WH1C) it made about 268hp and 361 ft/lbs. I dream of putting one of your engines in it and get my shell back on the road as a mountain monster in the PNW.
Spent a fair chunk of money on a 2nd gen with them, got a unmolested 3rd gen to spend money on in parallel. Kepp up the passion and teaching aspects please.
Looking forward to 3rd gen turbo testing. Hopefully it's got some good all around power turbos in the line up. I got a 2006 Ram 3500 dually 5.9/ G56 combo
less mass = greater stability at higher rpm. lighter parts move faster and easier also increases and thickness of the bores making the block more stable.
Well all i know is try to turn a negative into a positive with a lot of effort..Learn from the experience and move on ..Enjoy the videos and advice given ..Good luck
Cool story, but I figured this is a good time to give some product feed back. I would try Opti torque but they are nearly the same price as ARP 625 studs. After my experience with Xotic studs I wont risk all that work again over a $50 or so price difference. I am sure you guys could do a hell of lot better than 50 to 70 bucks price difference. If they were about $200 or more less I would absolutely cheap out and try them. I have another build I need studs for, so putting this out there. I probably wont get to that build until winter.
Compared to what you have spent on the current set-up? I would think that those slugs will give you larger tuning window and allow you to drive there, wind it up and be able to drive it home.
You guys don't get enough credit, great work
Couldn’t agree more!

It was crazy rowdy! It’s going to work and be amazing when it does! On a side note I love moto
I miss motocross. I know that feeling you're describing.
Nothing wrong with just getting it going, testing, and turning it up as you go...
I’d give anything to pull all-nighters in the shop with these guys!
That’s what she said
They once told me the party dont start until you got 40+ degrees of timing in it.
I always seem to end up north of 40 degrees! So fun!
Charlie had 52° in the black pro stock truck back in the day. I out ran him with 30°
Todd Is The Man!
Thank you sir!
I started making my own tool steel tappets 20+ years ago. Have never broken one since in literally hundreds of them. 😊
Right on!

YES PLEASE! AUGUST HERE YOU COME!!!🙃
I’m going!
Spent a fair chunk of money on a 2nd gen with them, got a unmolested 3rd gen to spend money on in parallel. Kepp up the passion and teaching aspects please.
Will do! Have some nice 3rd gen turbo testing coming soon
Looking forward to 3rd gen turbo testing. Hopefully it's got some good all around power turbos in the line up. I got a 2006 Ram 3500 dually 5.9/ G56 combo
What's the reasoning behind sleeving the engine down? Just thicker cylinder walls or more to it than that?
less mass = greater stability at higher rpm.
lighter parts move faster and easier
also increases and thickness of the bores making the block more stable.
Cylinder wash thickness. And the sleeve is a stronger material than cast iron.
Quick note, I tend to prefer no music while Todd is explaining things. Great video though!
Noted!
Hey before I even watch.
Love y’all
I got a lil diesel
But I still diesel hard 😂❤

Well said!

Thanks for the feedback, however, they are not our product so we don't have control over how much they are.
One thing nobody really talks ab, Chris Patterson tore down his 3k hp and the pistons werent even fly cut, makes you think about that power window
He definitely has an amazing build!!!
How about you try Speed of Air pistons?
Crazy money for those things.
Compared to what you have spent on the current set-up? I would think that those slugs will give you larger tuning window and allow you to drive there, wind it up and be able to drive it home.
@@pddofficialleave a 1/4 nut on top of each piston for when you start it and you can make your own!! Lmfao
If you wouldn't have bad luck you wouldn't have any. I want to see the p pump do 3k hp i know it has it in it but everything has to stay together.
You and us both!!
Are you guys doing your own block machine work now?? I saw y’all doing cylinder heads in house
Yes! New machines show up next month!
you think seth ferrell would build a pump for a platform hes never done before?
No idea? Maybe
See if Josh Mccormack will build you a common rail engine. lol
