    Here's the video breaking down how the reactor works: • I turn Plastics into F...
    I believe with the world wide crisis we are facing now, we require a world wide solution. And this is why I believe we need decentralized devices such as this Reactor. Think about it, even if there is just 1 reactor in every community, that will put a huge dent in plastic waste and pollution.
    Due to this, I do not wish to make a singular specialized Reactor, once I master and complete this one, I want to make all different types, of all different scales and sizes.

    Hey, might be a good idea to add a support beam spanning the inner length of the tube. Your blades can be attached to this for support and added rigidity. Have it run untill the opening and add a socket on the door to support the weight on that side :) it will allow you better translation of force and for it to remain uniform down the barrel, also will allow you a larger range of modifications in the future. Hope I explained that well and best of luck:)

    I have a solution for your PSI problem, Instead of running under vacuum, run it in an inert gas. Argon is what most labs use, but you'd have to buy that, and it's an asphyxiation hazard considering this is some backyard science. you would be vacuuming out the oxygen, and pumping in pure argon, until there's no oxygen left, THEN run the system, and when you're done, recollect as much of the pure argon as you can (since you can't get a strong enough of a vacuum), then just equalize the pressure with air, which will waste some of your argon. I don't know if that's safe or even legal to vent the argon back to atmosphere, so you might wanna check that. I originally thought you where wanting to use the oil as fuel, as if this was a plan for perpetual motion, which doesn't work, but now I realized this is basically carbon capture from plastics. Most of the plastic in the ocean is from glitter paint on boats though AFAIK.

      Pretty much six to eight microwave ovens running for hours. Watts x time x kwph cost

      @@MindsMouth right i get that im asking becasue experimentally this is a nice concept but the system needs to output not only to be more profitable then its inputs, but compete with the efficiency of just mining coal or pumping oil/natural gas. Over time this will probably become more profitable as supply lessens in the earth, but this is the issue ive been struggling with developing my own pyrolysis retorts :'(

    So the question really is, how much energy you use? What’s the cost/benefit from breaking down plastic into oil/gas? I mean in the end of the day that’s the whole point isn’t it?

    The vapor will get stuck to the ceiling and convert back to liquid because the vapor tube is too narrow for all the vapor to escape through the top.

    How much does it cost in electricity to do a run. Seems spendy with all those microwave emitters

    • @joeyork9891
      @joeyork9891 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      My thoughts exactly
      1k watts-2k each
      Times 8
      8k-16k watts .20 cents per 1000 watt hr
      $1.6-3.2 per hour.
      10 hour operation
      $16-32

    Yo you can use that carbon to make a crazy garden yo

  • @tobyn2994
    @tobyn2994 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

    carbon thats not powderized might trap oil like microwaved rice traps water or cookies microwaved can feel cold but have steam that sounds like pop rocks when u bite them. a crushed squeezer could let the liquids escape just a final microwaving step at the carbon output but if there is a matrix of non broken up carbon chunks they could always trap oil and water that cant escape with just microwaves.
