I was looking everywhere to find out whether you can use Easy Acro with the RC Motion Controller 2 on the Avata 2, and you're the only person who gave me an answer. Thank you so much! Now I know I can just replace my Avata 1 without also replacing my goggles and controller.
I was hoping for backward compatibility to be released before forward compatibility using the older O3 hardware. This firmware allows you to fly new AV2 using older O3 tech. The newer O4 hardware (Goggles 3 and MC3) are superior to old. Making the O4 hw backward compatible with O3 would be more benefit, allowing everyone to fly their existing O3 drones (O3 air units) using the newer O4 hardware.
@@dylancleveland Thank you, Shawn. One more question: With Goggle 3 I cannot set H.265 when 4K/60 16:9 D-LogM? Do you know why it only records H.264? There is no setting anywhere to select H.265????
Perhaps there was a mis-communication about the official firmware release date. DJI won't acknowledge its existence and using DJI Assistant 2 for consumer drones for Avata2 and Goggles3 says no updates. When I contacted DJI support, they said there is no update and trust them not TH-cam, lol
This is a great update if own the older goggles and controllers, and you want to use them with the Avata 2. But will they ever allow the Goggles 3 to work with older drones and Air 3 units, if that is even possible. Great information Shawn, thanks for sharing.
Hopefully we can use the googles 2 with the RC2 and the Mini 4 pro, I would love to fly the mini 4 pro as Fpv, I know you can use the joystick controller but I can’t stand that thing, much prefer the rc2
now im wondering the latency difference between goggles 2 vs goggles 3 when using the avata 2. i will test it but, spoiler alert, i think there wont be any noticable difference between o3 vs o4. especially in CE regulations.
Hello Shawn, Nice video & thank you for the update regarding the new firmware release but I seem to be having an issue with both the fly app & the assistant 2, they both say that I'm on the current firmware which is version V01.00.200 & it was released on 4-13-2024. Is there anyway around this or what can I do? Thank you!
@@AirPhotographyWhy is everyone (TH-cam Avata 2 instructional video creators) making videos about this update, when it is not officially released by DJI. Your all jumping the shark here. Waite until there is a official release so all of us who are trying to update are going around in circles and frustrated that the firmware updates are actually available
I try to use Goggles Integra to be audience to Goggles 3 with all firmware updated (Avata 2, RC3, Goggles 3 and Integra). There isn't anything in the list to connect to in the Goggles Integra audience tab (I have activated the Audience mode in Goggles 3 in the Pilot tab). :-( Anyone who has managed to succeed with this combination? I have not linked DJI Google Integra to DJI Avata 2 because I think you don't need to while only using Audience mode?
Update is useless because you cannot use the Goggles 3 with the Motion 2 or DJI FPV 2 unless you use them with the Integra Goggles or Goggles 2. Takes the Goggles 3 out the picture except with the MC 3 and FPV 3 controllers. Let the Goggles 3 work with the OC 3 (DJI FPV 2) - Better Goggles in the 3 and they will sell more th FPV OC3 Builders! Bad Form DJI...
This means that if you want to fly in line of sight (LOS), the Goggles 3 must be powered on for the flight to work. Additionally, if the Goggles 3 lose signal, you lose complete control of the aircraft, which isn’t the case with the older devices. With the Goggles 2, even if the signal is lost, you still retain control of the aircraft. I really dislike the G3/C3 setup.

This firmware update is great! Thanks for the update!
Thanks for the great news, does the combination avata 2, goggles 2 and fpv controller 3 work???

Great news you are bringing us, Shawn! Thank you. Can we fly the Avata 2 using the Googles 3, with the DJI FPV RC 2?
I don't know if this will ever be possible due to hardware. Goggles 3 is the radio on behalf of the FPV 3.

Finally! Can we have a youtube short of setting up with fly motion 2 and googles 2 please?
Thanks for the information! Will the Goggles 3 be compatible with the RC2, or do they only work with the RC3?
I will look into that. I thought they did release a firmware update to make it compatible. I’ll check into that.

They have the firmware listed on their forum page now. They probably just had a slight delay.
@@AirPhotographyplease put a link to that forum page. I did not see it a few hours ago

Indeed, that’ll be interesting to see if they bring backward compatibility with 03
I have mini 3 pro, but I still want Avata 2, and for me, the best combination is to take Goggles 2. Can I use Mini 3 Pro and Avata 2 with that?

same here no new update ???
Hi, can you do easy acro with avata2 using integra and motion controller 2? Thank you in advance.
Yes, that was added as a firmware update
If we update all FW on goggles and remote can we use it with both avata 1 and avata 2 at the same time?
Given that the goggles 2/integra and Controller 2 are compatible with the Avata 2, do you think they'll be compatible with a standalone O4 air unit?
I hope they will be. Maybe not upon initial release but hopefully with a firmware update shortly after.
Easy Acro avata 2 works together with the integra glasses and the motion 2 controller?Thx.
I asked you a question
Bro please help me to
Figure out, is that fpv controller 2 support dji avata 2
Yes, with a recent firmware update, it was made compatible
I have paired avata 2 with integra, but there is only 16 mbs transmission I don't know why :(
Can I use integra with the controller 3 to fly the Avata 2?
Yes, you can
I'm not able to connect the FPV RC2 to my goggle following one of your tutorials. Do you know what's going on ?
which goggles
Not seeing any updates for goggles 2, controller or Love stick in the latest version of assistant 2 for consumer drones, have you downloaded it ?
If it's not publicly available it should be shortly

YOu realize this may not be possible because they changed the way the controller talks to the drone? More specifically, it doesnt.
Range is reduced with the integra and goggles 2

Come DJI if you can do this for the Avata series why not with the mini and Mavic series.
