I've seen one Laurent Ferrier in person and it's an incredible watch. The finishing is A-MAZING. The Gallet/square case style looks a little bit like a Panerai. But the Classic case style IMO borders on the verge of perfection.
I was in Las Vegas on the IWC boutique opening. They didn’t have the Ingenieur there. Just a little box with the dials only to show them to people. 1 year waiting to get one if you order from a boutique.
bought a Seagull 1963 and replaced the NATO strap with a high end leather strap. It looks great. The leather strap cost more than the watch and it made a huge difference.
you made me aware of the paul picot brand of watches . for the money they are fantastic. i have two. a flyback chrono and a regulator stainless steel with a 22kt gold rotor chronometer.thank u frederico
Fed, have a happy Thanksgiving holiday! One suggestion, I could listen to you answer collector questions for more then the 6-7 minutes you usually do. I would love to see you extend the format between 15-20 minutes.
I think the IWC Ingenieur is a bit overpriced, but it is significantly cheaper than Genta’s Royal Oak and Nautilus. I wonder if that factored into their pricing strategy.
I can't do Chinese. I could buy a Luftwaffe watch today, but I wouldn't have even if I could have in 1940. The Chinese are acting like Nazis with the Uighurs and in China, all companies are related to the government. I don't tell other people what to do, but my watch money goes to Japan, or Switzerland, or Indonesia or Belgium or Italy...
I’ve got a Seagull 1963, and I love it! A mechanical chronograph for under $150 is unheard of. They’re a lot of fun, and I’ve had no issues!

The aventurine dials commonly seen are not stone dials. They are actually made from goldstone, which is a type of glass.

Seagull are far better than Spring Drive. At least all Seagull timepieces are completely mechanical. There are no IC like a Spring Drive 😂
