No movie franchise cherishes the rich tradition of putting up exquisite timepieces on the big screen like the James Bond franchise.
When the legendary 007 made its screen debut in the 1962 thriller, Dr. No, the franchise thought it only befitting to feature the iconic Rolex Submariner, especially with how Diving had become the sport of the bold and adventurous, and how the timepiece perfectly depicted these traits in the 007 character. From then on, the series has gone on to feature even more Rolexes, Omegas, Seikos, and a TAG Heuer in between.

Actually the reason why the Rolex Submariner was used in the earlier bond films, is because in the James Bond novels, Ian Fleming has James Bond wearing a Rolex. He actually words and oyster perpetual his first Rolex appearances in 1954, the same year the Rolex submariner was released to the public. However, he does not wear any watch that’s mentioned in Casino Royale. And the 1967 Casino Royale film is actually a spoof.
And although it doesn't mention specific model in the books most people thought james bond in dr no. Would actually be wearing a explorer
@@calebdaigle1798 actually feeling fire mention which model it is. He says it’s a Rolex oyster in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. The reason it’s often thought to be an Explorer is because Fleming himself was known to wear one for the last 5 years of his life.
The ONLY watch that Ian Flemming ever had bond wear was Rolex GMT master in "on her majesty's secret service", and he used it as a knuckle duster.r
@@pettetread5959 the Rolex GMT master was never mentioned in OHMSS. Fleming states that it’s a Rolex Oyster on a steel bracelet. It’s possible I missed Bond having a GMT but if you provide the chapter I’ll be happy to take a look

My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from MAMACOO

I never really watched a bond film for the product placement. I did possess a 'tag hoyer' and a rolex both of which i liked the dial and watch enough to get an expensive time piece as my previous watches were swatches and ironman/triathalon. but wasn't really interested in the seller telling me which was in a film, does the actor still use it?
Rolex Sub is the best abond watch. Actually been issued to the Royal Navy ,and si ce the character James Bond is a Royal Navy Commander, it has legit chops.

Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."

Bond didn't wear a Navitimer in Thunderball. It belonged to the dead pilot. The Navitimer is not "also known" as the Top Time. That's a completely different Breitling watch and is the one Bond wore. The other awful errors, incorrect movie titles and actor name, have already been mentioned above.
