outstanding guide mine did not work on first try ...and second try did wipe in system recovery factory reset...made sure there was a sim in the phone worked fantasic...

I spent countless hours trying to overcome a boot loop I encountered, but I watched your other tutorial on how to unbrick the Note 10, and managed to bypass that! Now I can do all sorts of customisation with my phone. Kudos to you and +1 sub :)
It keeps getting stuck in boot loop every time i do the step of flashing the firmware with the patched AP file, how do i fix this? I have a note 10 base model
For Galay S10+ in download mode after the image is flashed and you unplugged the usb cable: - Press and hold (volume down) and (power) buttons to exit from download mode - Then immediately after the screen switches off press and hold (volume up) + (bixby or side button) + (power) buttons all at the same time until you see the bootloader warning screen then unhold the keys - The rest is the same process in the video *Didn't have to install magisk again

@@MegaGnoon that's the AP file in this case right? I've downloaded the latest firmware files from samfw with the correct csc, installed it on my phone and used that AP file in magisk to patch it and then flash it in odin (like in the video)
followed tutorial and got boot loop, my csc was OXM and friya didn't find this, so after some research i had to change my csc to xeu then download an xeu firmware which friya found, followed the tutorial and all worked well on Note 10 plus 5g android 12 /4.1.used samfw to change csc, make sure you allow usb debugging for ADB.

Great Tutorial again as many others from your account. But unfortunately it does not work with my Note 10 exynos as it always ends up in the BOOTLOOP with the magisk patched AP file. Once i flash it back and run the original AP it passes the boot and starts android. Would like to succeed as i want the lineageOS on the Note 10.

Really why is it that I think I have a solution although it is not tested and the solution might not be true but I think anytime you need the root access you should boot your phone through the recovery

You should restore the device with the stock firmware using Odin. Add all of the files make sure your device is detected and then add the BL, AP, CP and CSC files and then start. You should be in download mode to make this happen. If the key combinations volume down and side key does to shut it down does not work.There is program by the same of FRP Hijacker from XDA Forums that you can download. Once your device is detected by your PC open the FRP Hijacker program and you will see a default model and ensure the Port in the top right of the program shows your device as well. Then check soft brick fixer and then Hijack it. Should be able to get to the download screen after that.@@yahyahassen9807
I was just about to get started with this to recover text messages until I seen I need like another 12 apps to do this. Ain't never that serious to take 2 hours on a phone.........yall pretty bored
then those text messages may not be that important. but for others, it is. I use root for many things and rooting the phone (for me) takes less than 30 minute to do. I understand it can take longer for people who are just learning this stuff. but once you understand what is needed, the process is easy

This has to do with the patched file being used. There are a host of errors that you will get if you're using a USB c to USB c connector vs USB c to USB A which is slower but offers better results.
I needed to factory reset the data because I was stuck in boot loop, but I'm not sure if magisk will still be installed properly, I will update shortly... Yeah so i don't see magisk anywhere, but it booted just fine :(... Yeah, it didn't work, installing magisk after the fact doesn't continue the setup :( The problem I have now that I have tried again is that it just doesn't let me go into recovery mode with the combo IMMEDIATELY after force rebooting, it's like it's doing it on purpose ffs after it fails to register my combo it shortly flashes the android droid logo, and it says Erasing..., then it boots up just fine after that.

Is there a way to bypass the need for pressing both volume up and power button to regain root after a standard reboot? after rooting, and rebooting the device it's no longer rooted unless it's connected via usb to my computer and holding down power and volume up?
This video was extremely clear and concise, even considering the subject. However, I came up with an error at the very end of odin info loading to the phone. It's patched and everything. I tried it with several different versions of the firmware. My phone was Verizon, was unlocked, then T-mobile-ized... I'm trying to recover information on the internal and it's packaging 6gigs every time it fails and that's wiping my unrecovered storage...it's probably not due to this video or me following directions so there is something not working correctly with my phone.
@ExplainingAndroid everything else is adding up perfectly. Some type of failed authority or something at the end. The info is on my computer. I saw others with the same error and I checked anything they said and tried again. I'll get the exact error info and post it here.
You have to hold the right combo of buttons every time you turn your phone on. I don't remember exactly which combo of buttons to hold but it's either vol up plus power, vol down plus power or both vol buttons plus power. Holding one of those combos will boot you back in to a rooted android. Kind of a pain but since nobody ever turns their phone off it shouldn't be that big of an inconvenience.
Hi There, I have a question that I' hoping you can help with. I followed the video and was able to get it to root. The issues comes when I reboot the phone magisk app says Installed: N/A and Root checker so not rooted. But apps that need root access work just time. When I re-did the flashing with Odin it worked again till reboot. Is there supposed to be some special type of reboot method that I'm not doing? This method is just temporary root.After simple reboot root is Gone because of NO RAMDISK. Everyone know this solution . tell us if you know about permanent root of it

it is, but only IF you can unlock the bootloader first. with that model number, I'm almost certain that it can't be bootloader unlocked :( but if you can somehow unlock the bootloader, the process will be the same for you

I followed exactly the same process yesterday but didn't u tick auto reboot n in turn I didn't do the volume up and power and I was stuck in bootloop and had to re install all original firmware and abandon the mission. Would that make a lot of difference not pressing v up and power?
thanks for following me all these years! I didn't have that option enabled so that I could manually reboot the phone itself. if you follow along at about the 8 minute mark you see why this is needed (because we need to manually press buttons during the first boot after root)

brothers, I did all the steps and it went wrong because I had not activated the bootloader which is different on the note 10 plus, which in addition to having to activate the oem we have to activate the bootloader in the download area
first time rooting my phone and I followed to steps, I have a Galaxy note 10 (Exynos) and when it booted back up it for some reason capped by regular 256 GB to 32 GB is this normal?
No its not. This can be corrected by reflashing all of the firmware files again BL, AP, CP and CSC. It happened to me as well and reflshing brought back the complete storage.

this happens when you ONLY flash the modified AP firmware file in Odin. if you're only seeing 32GB of storage after root, then you need to go back and flash all 4 firmware files in Odin (as I show you in this video)

it does, but only after you unlock the bootloader (I have a Galaxy S10 unlock bootloader video here on my channel). once the bootloader is unlocked, this will work exactly the same

After you flash a firmware, "OEM unlocking" option in developer options gets hidden and disabled temporarily for 7 days, you can bypass the 7 days by checking for software updates (in this state you can't flash modified firmware, that's why I got an error) After waiting for 7 days or bypassing it, "OEM unlocking" appears enabled then you can flash rooted firmware. Also, I got a bootloop after flashing the rooted firmware which you can solve by: 1- hold the volume up button then connect a usb cable which connects to a PC 2- After you the recovery mode release the volume up button 3- With the volume down key navigate to "Format data" option, then choose it with the power button 4- congrats, bootloop solved I wrote my experience so others can benefit from it
no. you have to factory reset (format the data partition) in order for the encryption keys to be reset (magisk needs access to that data in order to install the files needed for root access)

it sounds like you didn't follow the video as I detailed. this happens when you ONLY flash the modified AP file in Odin. YOu need to flash ALL FOUR files as instructed

To fix this, restart the phone in recovery mode, wipe data / favtory reset, and wipe cache, replace, put its settings (language, time, etc.), and once finished, check if the storage has returned, restart the phone with high volume and power, and reinstall magisk.

Yes you will lose all your data that is inevitable but trust me having a rooted Android phone is worth losing your data 100 times❤

I succeeded, I was rooted, but the internal memory was 32GB and in 30 minutes I was no longer rooted.

You have to reflash all files BL, AP, CP and CSC again. It just happened to me as well. Was cleared once reflashing was done.

no way to bypass it as of right now (that I'm aware of). but if you find something, please let me know about it!

I'm not sure why you're getting that error. you're trying to root a verizon/t-mobile Galaxy note 10?

I don't remember exactly which combo of buttons to hold but it's either vol up plus power, vol down plus power or both vol buttons plus power. Holding one of those combos will boot you back in to a rooted android. Kind of a pain but since nobody ever turns their phone off it shouldn't be that big of an inconvenience.

Hi There, I have a question that I' hoping you can help with. I followed the video and was able to get it to root.
The issues comes when I reboot the phone magisk app says Installed: N/A and Root checker so not rooted. But apps that need root access work just time.
When I re-did the flashing with Odin it worked again till reboot.
Is there supposed to be some special type of reboot method that I'm not doing?

This method is just temporary root.After simple reboot root is Gone because of NO RAMDISK. Everyone know this solution . tell us if you know about permanent root of it

it is, but only IF you can unlock the bootloader first. with that model number, I'm almost certain that it can't be bootloader unlocked :(
but if you can somehow unlock the bootloader, the process will be the same for you
After doing the Odin procedure, the phone booted, and got stuck in bootloop.. I Attached the exact same files. And last I had to... Factory reset.

I followed exactly the same process yesterday but didn't u tick auto reboot n in turn I didn't do the volume up and power and I was stuck in bootloop and had to re install all original firmware and abandon the mission. Would that make a lot of difference not pressing v up and power?

I didn't have that option enabled so that I could manually reboot the phone itself. if you follow along at about the 8 minute mark you see why this is needed (because we need to manually press buttons during the first boot after root)

brothers, I did all the steps and it went wrong because I had not activated the bootloader which is different on the note 10 plus, which in addition to having to activate the oem we have to activate the bootloader in the download area

No its not. This can be corrected by reflashing all of the firmware files again BL, AP, CP and CSC. It happened to me as well and reflshing brought back the complete storage.

this happens when you ONLY flash the modified AP firmware file in Odin. if you're only seeing 32GB of storage after root, then you need to go back and flash all 4 firmware files in Odin (as I show you in this video)

Hello, I followed everything step by step, but when I"m flashing and the flashing process is halfway complete it gets stuck and the following error shows up on the phone:

I don't see any error message here. but are you sure that your bootloader is unlocked?

After you flash a firmware, "OEM unlocking" option in developer options gets hidden and disabled temporarily for 7 days, you can bypass the 7 days by checking for software updates
(in this state you can't flash modified firmware, that's why I got an error)
After waiting for 7 days or bypassing it, "OEM unlocking" appears enabled then you can flash rooted firmware.
Also, I got a bootloop after flashing the rooted firmware which you can solve by:
1- hold the volume up button then connect a usb cable which connects to a PC
2- After you the recovery mode release the volume up button
3- With the volume down key navigate to "Format data" option, then choose it with the power button
4- congrats, bootloop solved
I wrote my experience so others can benefit from it

no. you have to factory reset (format the data partition) in order for the encryption keys to be reset (magisk needs access to that data in order to install the files needed for root access)

hi. just a question. i got root successfully after following every step. the problem is i suddenly lost root after a reboot. im not why. that wars after also installing termux.
you need to plug in a USB cable and hold some buttons down if you plan to reboot while also loading magisk/root

it sounds like you didn't follow the video as I detailed. this happens when you ONLY flash the modified AP file in Odin. YOu need to flash ALL FOUR files as instructed

@@ExplainingAndroid The technique remains the same. To fix this, restart the phone in recovery mode, wipe data / favtory reset, and wipe cache, replace, put its settings (language, time, etc.), and once finished, check if the storage has returned, restart the phone with high volume and power, and reinstall magisk.
