Thank you so much for this video! My Baby doesn't like tummy time and I've been feeling bad that she doesn't do it as much as she "should". Thank you so much for validating that it's okay for babies not to love tummy time! She rolls from back to side a lot (almost to her tummy!) But has only rolled front to back 3 times and doesn't seem to want to do that again 🥲
Thanks Sophie, another great video. If you could do one like "How to play with a 6 month old whilst keeping a 3 year old toddler happy" That'd be good, even better would be, "How to play with a 7 month old, whist keeping the toddler happy, whilst you try and work on your laptop at home "... (I jest... but it's not far off the truth for me, and I guess a lot of people!)
I think that I'd be a millionaire if I knew the answer to that last one 😉 It's the life we're living too. Not easy by any stretch! I don't think 'put them in front of the TV while you drink wine in the corner' is an acceptable answer is it?! Joking aside, I am actually going to do a video on managing at home with a toddler and baby soon. Although I really don't have any miracle cures unfortunately. Just honest truths that hopefully will make you feel like you're not alone.
@@SophiePickles yes, there's no magic wand to wave. I read a book about the second child, it kinda laid it out straight: " you're going to feel.guilty you're not giving your baby enough one on one time as you did with your first, and you're going to feel guilty the firstborn isn't getting the attention he's used to" - your baby videos are great, but I can't help wondering what your toddler is up to sometimes - I'm guessing there's a busy dad in the background. Unfortunately TV features in our routine, and sometimes has to be used (How to get a baby to nap with a toddler demanding attention....?) A combo-toddler-baby video would be great! Keep up the good work! Save the booze til after bedtime :)
Puts it very well. We're very lucky that Finley still takes a midday nap so I tend to film while he's sleeping. Either that or he plays downstairs or yes, watches TV while I film.
@@SophiePickles my go to for double trouble entertainment is go outdoors! Baby loves just looking at things and toddler loves the playground, If things go well, baby might sleep too! I've got a huge cargo family bike I cart them both around in ;) [although that was highly curtailed in lockdown!]
Thank you for this, it's really helpful, my baby is 4 & 1/2 months, she's had bad reflux so tummy time she didn't like but is getting better with it now! Alot of these exercises I have been doing so it's really encouraging to hear as I always feel I'm not doing enough or I'm doing it all wrong!
My 5 month old likes to roll over and try to preform a great escape whilst on the changing table 😂 including putting her leg over the side which is both hilarious and terrifying at the same time 😅
My baby doesn’t like tummy time, but he learned to roll from back to front position. And I was worried he’s not going to develop properly without tummy time
Hi! Silly question here 😅 my baby just turned 4 month today. Is he about to hit 4 month milestones or 5 month’s ones (since he’s entering the 5th month)?
My 5 month old bebe is grumpy but smiles to me and his mama. I've made a mistake though I made him watch the TV and here I am looking for ways to entertain him. I have a jungle gym (dangling toys) rattles plushies flashcards (colored) hip carrier and looking for more ways to burn that 2hr time before his 30min nap time.
If they are 5 months old then there's no need to worry at this point - it's very common. Give lots of free floor time to play on their back and their front and they will continue to develop their muscles 😊
There is more talk than actually looking at the baby do what you are taking about. Not visual enough. Tommy talk was all talk with only a second of the baby on his Tommy. I liked to see the baby on a ball as you were talking about.
Don't worry, a lot of babies hate tummy time. Try just a minute at a time and pick her up as soon as she starts to cry so she doesn't develop a negative association with being on her front. Remember that laying on your chest or knees and being in a baby carrier also counts as tummy time too ☺️

i guess I am quite randomly asking but do anyone know a good website to watch newly released series online ?
Thanks very much Sophie will check that out now!

I was thinking the same.
No idea why I wanna cry but this type of community is so important to me I don’t feel alone

My baby definitely doesnt sit sturdy like yours. He's all over the place
My baby is a biiiiig girl for her age, she can get onto her tummy but she can't get back just yet. She probably needs some more time at the gym 😆
My five month old won’t be on his tummy for so long he hates it

Mam 5 month of baby how to do fat
I force my baby to do tummy time . I’m embarrassed to say she hates it ... I try everything but after 10 min she’s done and is screaming

@@SophiePickles laying on my tummy counts well then we are always doing tummy time . Lol 😂
Exactly! You're already doing just what you need to do. ❤️ Perfect job! 😘
How often in a day is tummy time for a 5-month old?
As often as you can, but only for a few minutes at a time (unless they want to do more) :)
Too much talk…..maybe doing more
