Obnes Regis is charged with manslaughter and interfering with human remains in the 2021 death of his wife - popular Langley teacher Naomi Onotera.
A two-and-a-half-hour interview was admitted as evidence on March 7 during a B.C. Supreme Court voir dire, a separate pre-trial hearing to determine what evidence will be admissible during trial.
The video and other exhibits were recently released to Global News following a court application.
Kristen Robinson has more on the gruesome evidence.

Showing police how he disposed of the mother of his child - the one he is holding! How sickening and disturbed this man is! Hope he never walks the streets again.
So completely awful.
I agree. And that fake crying, passing out and pretending to have remorse
@@lonelygurl67 Omg soooo infuriating!
@@lonelygurl67 There’s gotta be more to it he’s not telling
When her house was being sold and I saw that the bathroom had no flooring in it, it sent chills down my spine. RIP Naomi ❤
Horrifying 😢 I can’t imagine being that RCMP officer dealing with that horror show. That murderer is all about himself.
This guy had been ordered to be deported MULTIPLE times since at least 2011. There are people who are against deporting people; including many people within the system itself who ignore deportation orders. I’ll bet they are not so outspoken at times like this.
As for the justice system….. This man did “violenty things to her” then watched her for over an hour for her to “stop living”. This occurred as her daughter was in the next room wondering where her mother was. Then he cut her up and disposed of her in the river. You would think this would be an easy mir-der case for the prosecution; but they decided to let him plead guilty to “man slot ‘er” instead. This makes their job easier but also means a lesser punishment as well. Apparently not doing their jobs adequately is more important than securing justice for the family. Not exactly surprised about this in Canada; especially so in BC.
I used certain spelling and phrasing because the correct ones are often not posted by the site.
Usual suspects…….
He got 16 years.. welcome to Canada's justice system. In USA he will never leave the jail.
It’s so scary they lived close your me… This is my neighborhood .. very scary .. what is his background ? Just wondering if there’s a connection to his violence
From Haiti
I remember her when I used to go to Katzie elementary school
Yikes
good grief
Why is it taking so long for a new episode every week now it takes 2-4 weeks
I suffer from PTSD but it's not related to any criminal act. I can't imagine someone living with this.
He's a crazy man. He only cares that he is going to be locked up for it.
Is he out on bail yet
My God 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Disgusting
