WOW! This reminds me of my days as a youth in Canada. It was 1989, I was 20 years old and special ordered the 12" from England!! We brought the vinyl to clubs who would play it at least twice in a night .... 5.5 years later I was home to Indonesia.
Wow this is a song l and colin aka [ chapter a,r .cousins a akinola ] wrote for anne marie and christine whom were way ahead of there time very willing to try different things also both had great taste in indie music also got to biggup u2 for allowing us to use the sample for free
good times. MC tunes lol, what ever happend to all these people. i know 808 state are still doing DJ sets. i'm not getting much off google. one site says they are from Manc' and "Kiss AMC got their name from the initals of the two sisters in the band, Anne Copeland & Marie Copeland."
Cool, I was going to post an audio of this myself. I know you've copied the title from the video, but the single was only called "A Bit Of..." as U2 wouldn't allow them to use their name on the record itself!
you sure this isnt Tigra and Bunny from The cars that go boom..I heard this song back in Dallas in the 80s and never saw the girl from Mother Africa in the concerts

This was a monster track for me while I stayed in Aalborg Denmark 1989. I played the heck out of the track. I still love it and its 2010.

Are you sure? I always heard they were from Manchester. Could be mistaken though. It is undoubtedly a U2 sample they use, from 'New Years Day',

well...but take a look at the original record...as shown in my video of the 12-inch version...it says "A bit of u2" there as well...

Yeah, thats from the later Remixes 12". Perhaps U2 changed their mind later on?
