Whoooooa, it's a big one! Looking quite nice, I love its internal construction... and I'm a total nerd for rackmount stuff.
I wonder if The Digital Mermaid would like it. She has quite a setup - built with powering a boat in mind.

It looks a real robust battery pack, that should keep you busy for a bit.

Looks like a decently layed out unit. The nice thing about these is that they have come a long way over the last few years and the new ones are pretty much plug and play with very high reliability. At 100ah they are also easy enough to move around compared to the 280-304ah 48v units that really need a hand truck or cart to move around easily. I hope they eventually come down in price to where it is actually cheaper or near the same price to buy them finished than to buy the diy kit and cells. It is getting closer every day. Through the DIY route you can get a very similar setup with case and all for less than $800 if you hit the right deals but it is getting hard to justify diy over just buying the finished unit.

looks like the perfect solution for the citicar, is yours the 36V or the 48V version? if its the 48V one its plug and play virtually

Its 48v so this should just need a PWM controller for it

Decades later, if I wanted to switch out the prismatic cells once they finish charging to a usable capacity, do you think it would be simple enough to do myself?

The cells are most of the value here, Im not sure why you wouldnt just buy a new battery. i wouldnt trust a bms after decades

    Help for an idiot?
I have 2 Carrier AC units (1 per floor) w/fan coil /air handlers in attic.
& 4 zones of hydronic baseboard heating using one boiler w/4 Taco 570 series (heat motor type) zone valves.
2 zones of heat per floor.
When upgrading thermostats, I chose Honeywell 9000 series Wi-Fi stats.
2 per floor: 1 for heating only / 1 for heating & AC
    The dilemma?
I had installed a 24vac / 40va transformer just to power all 4 stats. (I ran 18/2 to each thermostat location to the basement boiler room years back) the thermostats i initially installed had separate power input and isolated dry contacts (spdt) for fan / for AC / for heat.
The new thermostats have a “C” with “R” and “RC” that come jumpered.
Can I continue to power the thermostats with the separate transformer and parallel the incoming power to the “R” from the Carrier AC systems?
Checking to make sure the “RC” (powers the thermostat) and the proper leg/phase of the separate transformer are wired in parallel. Did that make sense?
I sure wish they had separate/isolated power input to power the thermostat itself.
    Thanks!
