Superb portrayal by Coogan.
Was going to say the same. He really freaked me out
It can't have been an easy role to play, a really heavy one. Coogan did an incredible job and I think the whole series was very professionally done, with victims acknowledged and centred in it in a way that I hope was validating and empowering.
you did a good job 👍
Brilliant performance, but difficult to watch due to the content. I bet Coogan gets a Bafta for this.
Been watching the Reckoning every episode. Steve Coogan performance of Savile is perfect. He was also brilliant as Stan Laurel in the Stan and Ollie movie and was nominated for best supporting actor in that movie.
beginning to look more like an irishman in age,no bad thing, very very clever guy, talented too
I watch a little of this last night Steve has that accent so good savile was monster getting away these terrible abuse
He deserves a bafta after playing a role like that I give him a raise who else’s does
👇
I bet that there is plenty being swept under the carpet here.
Saville's friendship with King Charles perhaps?, or his friendship with Peter Sutcliffe the 'Yorkshire Ripper', one of whom's victims was found outside Saville's flat in Leeds?.
7 months ago you posted this, Peter, and 6 measly likes. I was talking only today about how Charles' fraternal relationship with Saville has just been totally ignored, like it never happened. The people of this country.. the masses.. are brain dead!
I never much rated Steve C as actor until this this ...he was amazing....and did a good job and aged well looks hotter now.....👍🏽🤪🤓😊😄
you should see him playing Stan laurel he's amazing
@@pinkbeatle2012I was just going to say the same thing
Steve was amazing in this role .. disturbing and sinister he was amazing
To go from Alan Partridge to Jimmy Saville, Steve Coogan definitely deserves an award for his performance. It's so accurate It's as if the spirit of Saville possessed Steve.
Can’t wait to see this. Hope it’s shown in America. Brilliant Mr. Cohan 👏👏👏
Excellent actor in whatever he acts
Absolutely genius performer...well done Steve.
Trouble is I doubt the BBC will ever learn
Looks at Huw Edwards.
BBC still hasn't been held to account. One day they will be
Steve Coogan is one of my favourite actors/comedians, and I thought he was amazing as Savile. Really captured how creepy he was, and this story needed to be told just as a reminder of how evil can find a way.
It certainly did vindicate itself- such a sensitive subject handled fantastically by the makers- putting the victims at the forefront of each episode, not to mention a stellar performance by Mr Coogan
Steve now looks like his father.
Steve Coogan is such a Great Actor he deserves an Oscar Award 🥇
At least he admitted, that it wasn’t to be taken lightly
Steve Coogan did an amazing job, I was never a fan of his until his portrayal of Saville
Just a brilliant performance.
He's absolutely right
A scaringly accurate portrayal
Coogan is a cultural genius.
Shaved head here but long hair in an interview last week which is definitely his own so this must have been a couple of year back.
I hope coogan got some mental health support after this couldnt of been easy playing such a monster
I watched the whole thing and learned nothing. He did it for money and fame...nothing more
Brilliant performance 👏. Hard whatch, but sometimes we have to witness these terrible moments
Will the show expose all the BBC cover ups that they still haven't been held to account for?
you were amazing. so much so that you gave me the creeps..
The people who are anxious about it are the ones who turned a blind eye.
Britain allowed Saville as they have allowed islam
Still a vanity project
Go on ...
No that’s just you and your hair cut.
@@alanedwards8834 I’m bald
I find it deeply ironic though, that he seems to suggest that ' we ' are the ones that need to learn from it, when it's ALL the BBCs fault and they have made the drama!!!
Apparently ITV made it and bbc released it
