For only $229(44mm) I rather get a Watch5 over the $329(44mm) Watch6 or the $349 Pixel watch. I recent just got a Watch5(44mm) because of the price, and I am really happy with it.
recently got the watch 4 in india for about 6500 rupees or 80$ one heck of a deal for something with almost the same sensors and a little worse screen and battery life
I have the Pixel Watch because I have a Pixel 7. Yeah. The watch is okay for a 1st generation. I really don't care to much about the features because all I'm looking for is a watch that's compatible with my phone.
I have two galaxy watch 4's and they are basically identical to the 6's. I don't know why anyone would upgrade. They are just doing minor iterations on it since version 4 and slapping a few hundred price tag + inflation on it every year.
I bought the Galaxy watch 5 pro last year, and as I'm a sucker for titanium and Sapphire, and also with the incredible battery life that it offers, I think I'm staying put this year. Maybe I'll upgrade again next year if they do a watch 7 pro.
Incredible battery life?. I also bought the 5 pro when i got my fold 4. Its maybe a day, day and a half clock if you have it tethered to the phone all the time. I find the battery life horrendous and went back to Garmin Fenix 7x pro.
The fact that you have to pay a monthly subscription to use some of the core features on the google pixel watch is an instant deal breaker. The galaxy watch 6 is so much better, design and feature wise.
I have the watch 5 pro. It's awesome. It's the Bluetooth versión. I'm trading it for 250 off the 6 class plus additional 50 off for pre order.. I just got watch 6 classic LTE versión for 179! That's a steal! Aug 11 cant come fast enough.
I'll be honest. Although I love the rotating bezel, id prefer a larger battery option as well as better material in the build. Charging more for the watch 6 classic vs the watch 5 pro which has larger battery and built better doesn't sit right with me.
hopefully there is watch 6 pro.i misses titanium build which is stronger than stainless steel and bigger battery, 3 days more its life saver compare 2 days less on watch 6 classic 😢😢
My Galaxy Watch 5 Pro lasts nearly 3 days with screen set to always on. It's too bad they went to stainless steel instead of titanium. Mine has 0 scratches on it.
Mt SGW4 CS had zero scratches, and my SGW6 CS is also scratch free thus far. I am not gentle with my watches either. Titanium would be nice for the weight savings admittedly.
A shame about the battery capacity parity between the 40mm and 44mm and 43mm and 47mm. The screen size difference is around 15% but the battery difference is 40%. It's not fair to penalise smaller wrists with a worse battery life. There's no way they'll give similar usage times.
My wife just got a PW2, upgrading from her PW1. I took over her PW1 to try it...I've been with a Galaxy Watch5 44mm for the past year...and I have to tell you that I LOVE the PW, prefer the plainer/simpler version of WearOS on the PW over the GW. Actually thinking about sticking with the PW1 and selling my GW5...I'm sacrificing a day of battery life, but that's how much more I like the user experience on the PW.
Will wait for fall and see what the Pixel Watch 2 offers, and full reviews of them all. But I suspect I'll drop Pixel altogether and switch my phone and watch to Samsung.
funny you say that, my Fitbit kicked the bucket this week so I preordered the watch 6 (not classic). I have a pixel 6 but I'm sort of writing off the 8pro already. latest one UI beta screenshots look amazing and I think the s24 series might get my money
Had a Gear Sport since its release back in 2017, battery is starting to die now so time to update. I'm a bit of a Google fan boy but I think the Galaxy is more suited to me. One thing is like to know is regarding the sports tracking, I do a lot of skipping rope (jump rope) training and I'm wondering if the Galaxy watch 6 tracks that. It's in the app but doesn't appear on the galaxy sport...
I have a pixel phone. How would my experience be with a galaxy watch? I have an ild ticwatch and im trying to figure out which watch to replace it with.
Any issues of Samsung compatibility with Pixel phones? I had this issue with an older version of the Samsung watch, was incompatible with the pre loaded Samsung messaging app and was clunky together.
This year is my first venture in the smartwatch world. I did a lot of research and initially bought a Garmin SQ2. I did return it after a few days because my idea of "fall detection" and their idea of "fall detection" and when necessary were two very different things. I then purchased a Galaxy 6 44mm. I chose the larger size so that I'd be able to easily see what was on the watch without my glasses. The Galaxy "expert" at Best Buy helped me with the initial set up. I'm working on learning how it works and what it can do. I am a "casual user" so the battery life isn't an issue for me. So far I'm happy with the watch, it is a bit difficult to get used to wearing a watch again, but I feel that with Galaxy's hard fall detection and SOS notification is well worth the price and learning something new.
Thanks for the video! I have a wrist of only 16.5cm, I'd like a Watch 6 Classic 47mm (the 43mm has the smallest battery) but I'm undecided whether to choose the Watch 6 (44mm). Is the 6 Classic 47mm very large?
The Galaxy Watch is worthless in the sunlight. I can't see any of the useful body metrics data available on the watch while outside exercising in the sunlight. I am looking into the Google watch because is is supposed to be brighter in sunlight.
Very disappointed, from the Watch 6, it's only marketing, the processor is not new, it's the W 920 inflated by 10% engraved in 5 nm .... Why not to have put a Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 which is better and engraved in 4 nm?? The rotating crown returns to the classic Watch 6, but it was already on the classic Watch 4. The software side being only a normal evolution of 2023 which will be taken up on the Watch 5 and 4 in a few months. Virtually no change in battery capacity. Increasing the brightness will reduce the low power gain to zero. We are talking about watches at 450€ - 500€ which to have all their functionalities must be paired with a Samsung smartphone and some functions of which do not work in certain countries, see also the blood pressure measurement which must be calibrated every month by a real blood pressure monitor. Really disappointed, can't wait for the Watch 7 in February 2024.......
theres limitations, I gave up with Samsung phones simply because they duplicate pretty much all the stock google apps for their own version, its very annoying, and unless you know how to use ADB commands, most of it cant be removed, so you get crappy Samsung internet and chrome, google phone, photos, messages, calendar, contacts, notes etc etc, and all the same Samsung bloatware versions too, I found I was effectively turning my S22 into a pixel 7 pro, so I brought the pixel 7 pro instead, paired it with my Galaxy watch 4 and lost health monitor, so now ECG and blood pressure monitor no longer work on the watch, im waiting for the pixel 2 watch.
As a user of both 23 Ultra and 7 pro they both work well with Wear OS Samsung watches but tizen watches are a bit of struggle with the 7 Pro. For as phones I'll take double the apps for a more powerful phone. 7 pro battery and Tensor Chip can't keep up just yet. If you do by a Pixel purchase unlocked thru Google and not a carrier.
@@davidmccarthy6061 agreed, I like touchwiz, but if they stuck with just the stock android apps id go back to them instead of trying to implement their own, I dont want 2 versions of everything, carrier bloatware is bad enough.
Sounds like Samsung is slacking again. Snapdragon with 32g should be the standard. Big HR sensors are a thing. Apple and Garmin seem to be kings at this. Hopefully they will be worth an upgrade from a GWpro5.
It is a little watch. It is snappy, fluid, and feature rich. The vital tracking is also extremely accurate on the SGW6 CS, and battery life is acceptable. There is not a time that I have sat there and wished for a bigger powerhouse of a processor in my watch. It does exactly what it is supposed to do.
I'm trying to figure out if I want this. I loved the rotating bezel on the 4, but I really love the big battery of the 5 Pro. Decisions...decisions. :)
You said " most people should go out and get a samsung wearable" to use all the galaxy watch featurs like its health benefits will require a galaxy watch
I've had the Gear S, Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Watch 5 pro. And I must say I hate the 5 pro. I loved the design of the Gear S. The watch 5 pro annoyed me because every time I wanted to read a full notification or email it always prompted me to open on phone. I thought a big feature of the 5 pro is to use it without the phone.
I own the Pixel Watch and it's battery is garbage. Looking to upgrade both my Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel Watch with the Samsung S24 Ultra and the Samsung Watch 6 Classic. Went to Google after a friend of mine recommended it, never again. Ill stay with Samsung
Looking at both watches, I'm told that because I have a Pixel that I won't be able to fully enjoy/access everything Samsung has to offer. Might pick up a used one just to keep me occupied until the Pixel Watch 2 comes out.
I have a Pixel 6 paired to my SGW6 CS. They sync up perfectly (Make sure the Smart Switch app has all restrictions disabled in settings or it wont backup). The only feature that you'll need a Samsung phone for is the irregular heart rate function. The Google Camera app on the watch works the Pixel camera perfectly as well.
Galaxy Watch is generally what I would recommend for an android user to get. I love my pixel watch, I feel the OS is much better than Samsung's take on WearOS but it's too expensive. I apologise if I missed it, but the video fails to mention that there are features on the watch that are locked to Samsung phones.
Pixel Watch 2 NEEDS to have better battery life. And hopefully they slim down the bezels a bit. I personally think it’s the best looking smartwatch on the market
