seems like their torque wrench is thin dude and heavy dude. no need the bar exceeds required torque. they feel it out... way to re-ring a block. try and get this done in a day in england. lol
The red paint will last longer than the engine will run.

Hard to believe how they do things in 3rd world countries, rebuilding a motor, out in the dirt parking lot.....they probably are being paid peanuts....God Bless them!!
It may be third world but those people have a lot of teamwork and you can tell they enjoy what they do this just goes to show you you don't need all that technology and big buildings and stuff to build these engines and work on these cars places like America England and Canada over do things sometimes best to keep it simple you know. crazy thing is they didn't have a torque wrench everything was done by simple basic hand tools

Straight six engines are simpler by design and a lot easier to work on so it's a good job the turbocharged, intercooled 6 is the most common truck engine today. You don't see many V8's these days, largely due to emission laws. I think Scania is one of only a handful that currently make a V8 today.

It didn't look to me that the crank was spinning freely enough after being torqued
i work as a oiler on merchant ships and we dident start to use a torque wrench until mid 80ish, we usally counted nut edge to get the right torque. if you find a old manuall to a engine you will se that you can refit everything whitout a torque wrench. im more worried of all the banging and hitting everything whit hammers. I love the test run of the engine
