- I bought this car used with 30k miles on it and so far I have 45k miles. Stage 2 ecu tune with RVG catless downpipe, BMS air intake, FTP air intake pipe (resonator delete), HPFP B58 TU, XHP transmission tune stage 3 standard settings and muffler delete. In this video I show my modifications on the car, little bit of driving and overall my opinion on this car.

I had my 2018 540i sounding just like this with bm3 stg 2 and xHP flash tool but recently put muffler back on and now it’s a MEGA sleeper. Nice video bro. Going to work on getting full screen, thanks for the idea

@@Htxracing97most of us do even when we modify the exhaust but say you have kids like me and don’t need drone in your life. If I was 20 and didn’t care id live with the drone but a lot of us just can’t for similar reasons to mine.

@@gagebeckwith2250 honestly i dont know. I know i purchased warranty and then later tuned the car so if anything happens to the engine then they wont fix it i assume. And some other stuff maybe warranty still applies im not sure if you violate one area that you lose whole warranty. Cause they do cover many things not just engine

not gonna lie your 540 is tough. i’ve been skeptical about getting a bmw because of what people say about the
maintenance and everything but i don’t care. i would like a nice car and after watching this video the 540 is #1 on my list. thank you. your car is my inspiration on how i want mine to be
The B58 engine is one of the most reliable engines out there. I have a 540i.

@@Vali0793yep! & you’d be surprised how reliable the new M motors have been for us. Other than oil, tires and brakes my f80 has only been in the shop 2 separate times for minor repairs. 96k miles on it so far with a custom tune & downpipes.

Get an s7 2016 wait till you find a good deal but know you would have to get the intakes cleaned due to the carbon build up over time. I was between an s7 2014 and a 540i 2017 I went with the 540i because I found one with massage seats and I love luxury like that but the s7 also has luxury and massage seats and a very nice interior. If I could care for the maintenance I woulda gone with the s7 but seeing as it was my first car I stuck with the 540i plus inline 6 is less crazy on insurance than twin turbo v8 with a solid amount of horsepower. The s7 is under rated from the factory and has very good tuneability just make sure you get one with low miles and test drive it beforehand and a cold start test drive definitely.

I have this car in black, stock 2017 540i M Sport. I've thought about having it tuned to get some extra horsepower etc, I like what you did with using the newer generation fuel pump. My only hesitation with working on it right now is that I can't really afford to break it since it's my daily driver all day car and they cost a lot to fix. Thanks for all the info.
If you do reliable custom tune then you wont have any problems with this car. People who try to tune on bigger boosts usually have sometimes problems but safe reliable tune will give you plenty more power and car will be reliable.
How many miles you have and what major expenses have you had in terms of maintenance/repairs. I found a 70k 2017 for 26k near me. I’m interested
@@BorderTownGaming 68k miles. Thermostat just failed couple of days ago or water pump one of those. Gotta take it to the shop this week to see whats up. I just randomly had temperature go up. I hear it’s common that water pump goes out. Other than that was ok

the reason behind the automatic opening and closing of the vents on the front is actually to increase aerodynamics when cooling is not needed.

Great video and great car. You would definitely have a better time if you had a different setup on the wheels. I'm thinking of removing them from the spacers and putting them on PS4S or Continental SportContact 7. For me, they're even better than the Michelin PS4S. Best of luck to you.

I own olso 540i g30 MPerformance 2019. I drove this summer around EU almost 30.000 80% of the time in Sport+ . The only thing it shows me is the coolant low, but i think its ok after so many km. I have almost 60.000km on it right now and its stock.
Check to make sure the plug didn't come loose on the bottom of the coolant tank

These links are from what I have got and would like to get for my 2017 540i x drive, thought I’d help out. Btw if you do buy the carbon fiber spoiler lip and diffuser hmu I definitely want pics installed and before, of the product. Because I’m saving up for that.
Lastly take everything into close consideration because some of those products are fake carbon fiber so always look at the reviews because it may not turn out exactly how they look in the pics.
P.S. the steering wheel cover is definitely worth it.
I have a 2018 540i, downpipe stage 2. In Orange County too lol. Any reason you took off the lower portion of the stock air box with the BMS intake?
Nice 🤩 I changed it because it makes turbo sound louder. On our cars we also have resonator next to air box so I took it out and switched lower plastic pipe with metal pipe. Makes air intake sound louder. I honestly enjoy it now better than before.

I ordered the same front lip of the link but your front lip looks different in the corners it has some lines that stand out and the one I ordered does not have them. to better explain, the corners of the front lip are smooth or flat and I see that yours have 3 protuberances on each corner it is a different design. Do you have a different link?

Great video! I have a question for you, about hpfp, because I have a 1st generation b48 540i xdrive, and I want to do an upgrade for the fuel pump, only for 20-30hp gain and around +10% fuel economy, is that realistic and is it worth it?
Its not big difference but I could still feel the improvement in acceleration. For me its worth it but if you are not so picky about it then spend your money on something else

@@terminator4974 i drive on Highway to work and back on eco pro. On streets usually sport plus. Daily drive around 50 miles and it takes me one week to go low on fuel. If i drive only on eco pro it took me 10-11 days until refuel. Honestly pretty good in my opinion, I was surprised

No I have no issues and the link is in the description. I bought them on ebay and pretty easy to install just be patient without pulling off too hard.

56k miles now, im afraid to answer that question lol if I say no than right away something usually pops 😂 its a good car let me put that way and coolant is turned out normal problem its not big deal every few months top it off a little bit. No leaks
How do you like it in rwd? I was looking to get a 540i xdrive and they are hard to find in the spec that I want with the mileage and price that I want and I found a rwd one.
You have the exact mods that I want and I was wondering how it is. Seems pretty easy to drift too 😏
I think xdrive will be obviously faster from 0-60 and maybe hold the road better. But rwd is always more fun. Depends on what you want

Hi I Finally Have the car Its Great so far , but for me the oil level is not allways working i try to check the level and at 19% it stops then i turn off engine Close the doors lock the car then open and start engine then it works, other thing when i let engine idle i can feel like if chassis would

You should change your engine cover from M40i cuz it is the same engine but M40i engine cover with M-performance badges looks nuts. This original engine cover looks bad, i don't know why BMW did this. In my opinion Engine cover from M340i or M140i looks better

@@terminator4974 yes like i said you drive on eco pro mode just regular and you get very good gas mileage. In my case it takes like 11 days full tank to finish

Man honestly its been awhile since i dont have that lip. Its not strong. Looks nice but it wont hold up. Get strong one piece material lip. Mine was like 4 pieces and light. On high speed came off lol

May have missed it but, how do you have the ambient as red?
No I didn’t mention that in the video. You need special Bluetooth or wifi obd tool and buy app Bimmerlink. Through that app its pretty easy to add red color. You actually switch bronze with red. So in your car it will say bronze but ambient light will be the one you chose from bimmerlink. You can customize top and bottom lights too. If you need more info go to BMW G30 USA fb group. Type ambient light in search and there are plenty of posts. Also people can help you there with more advanced settings

Forgot to ask whats the fuel consumption like highway 160-200km/h and in city
I drive usually on highway around 140km/h (90m/h) and city 80km/h (50m/h) so my drive usually 16 miles to work and back. On eco pro fully I had 11 days before refueling which is crazy good considering the power of the car. I think i had something like 30-31 miles per gallon on highway and 18miles per gallon in the city. Now if I drive on sport plus and moderately aggressive drive probably will last 5-6 days full tank with my commute.
