@@dennisludwig5542 yep, they were definitely guilty of not knowing what they're doing. But just because for beer cans are floating doesn't mean they were drunk. They're just inexperienced all the way around.
Run up to the ramp, beach, trim up outboard, pull stern around to get the keel as shallow as possible. Then it just rests on the bottom in very shallow water. you can then assess a way to get the water out so it can be refloated and trailered. Save the outboard. The hull is relatively easy to repair.
These two are flaming idiots!!! Granted, we were born and raised in a fishing village, and my husband is a tugboat captain and engineer. This is frustrating as hell to watch!!!
Somebody should’ve of called the cops you can clearly tell that one guy was so drunk and he was the guy driving the boat and then he gets in and tries to drive the truck. Hopefully they didn’t hit something out on the way home with the boat likely clearly hit when they were driving the boat because they were drunk. I do believe in the one part of the video buddy picks up a bunch of empty cans and put them in the bag but then again they were probably full because they were underwater, I think, but nonetheless, they clearly had beer
My older brother took his 16 foot bass boat out lake fishing several years ago. I was with him. After we launched, we started taking on water (forgot the drain plug). We went to the dock and my brother went to go get his truck. I was about 22 at the time and did not have much experience driving boats. I pulled away from the dock to get ready to put it on the trailer but the boat started sinking. All I could think to do was beach the boat - which I did. The boat would have sunk otherwise. After beaching the boat, my brother put in the drain plug and we had to bail water. Other than getting knee deep water in the boat, everything was fine afterwards,
Everyone knows - when your boat is taking on water, best thing to do is jump onboard and make sure you are in the lowest corner and stand there like a fool until you are sure water is flowing over the gunnels.
nice hole they managed to punch in the bottom. I especially loved the part where one of them picks up all the beer cans that fell out when it flipped. Like Harry Potter's Mr. Filch said, "ya got ta have yer WITS about yer", and these two sure didn't.
When I was stationed in Indiana, we went to a large lake to watch the boaters. One old wooden cabin cruiser was speeding across the lake, hit a large wake, and the bottom of the boat broke. As it was sinking, they headed for the swimming beach to beach it. By that time it was half under water. A while later, two wreckers showed up to pull the boat up further on the beach. The wrecker wrapped a steel cable under the boat, then around the rear of the boat to pull it. Keep in mind, it was a, inboard motor, with the prop shaft going out thru the bottom of the hull. As the cable tightened, it started to slice thru the rear of the boat. They placed planks across the rear of the boats to keep the cables from cutting thru. Now when they pulled, the back of the boat started to collapse. By the time it was fully beached, it was totaled.

I've had this happen and I banked it because it came a storm and my pump wasn't working and by the time I got near shore I just gave it gas and ran it on shore. After it quit storming I got the pump working and emptied the water out of the boat. I was probably 10 miles away from where I put in on lake James in North Carolina. I got really lucky.
I get on TH-cam to unwind and relax and all this video did was stress me out 😂😂😂
I hear you!
Haha agree… like watching a train wreck
Me too!!😢
Rt!
I felt the same way. Here I'm screaming to these two idiots like they can hear me going nuts on their stupidity 😂😂😂😂😂
Best part was the floating beers cans he was picking up after they finally got it upside down on the trailer 😂
Nice to see everyone coming together to help them recover the boat.
Some people deserve to learn the hard way . 😅
Or taking some fun ? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Well if they showed just a little bit of hurry on there part then maybe I would give them a hand, drunk or not

Why bother when the driver has NO IDEA how to steer a trailer?

I think they both were pretty hammered, if he would’ve just beached the boat on the ramp at least he would’ve saved the engine.
But boat ramp cop just left? Im perplexed.
for sure the guy in black shorts is just glazed over. When he tripped to pull the engine up, a non hammered guy would have reacted much different.
Stupid is as stupid does.😊
Wait till daddy gets home and finds out the kid borrowed his boat😂😂
@@JackFromWyoming He would have to catch them "Drunk", not later on. If the cop was on the water that's something else.

This is by far the best video on this channel. Bravo.
So people mistakes and mishaps are entertaining to you? I hope you never have kids!
It went OK once they got a couple of people that weren’t drunk and stupid involved

Everyone knows - when your boat is taking on water, best thing to do is jump onboard and make sure you are in the lowest corner and stand there like a fool until you are sure water is flowing over the gunnels.
And leave all your heavy bags in there. And never, ever put the life vests / flotation devices under the motor to help slow down the sinking.

Yeah, the hull was obviously already damaged so it would have been the best option.
But they did manage to save a few beers and that is all important ! 😂😂😂
I think seeing this boat upside down on the trailer is enough "just cause" to breathalyze the driver....

The bilge coming on at the end is pretty impressive
I'd say it was running the whole time and the outlets were submerged. Probably the only thing that kept it afloat that long.
