    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot, hey so you know what I mean about the Streetfighter, this is not what an old Monster was like to ride, it’s got more of a mini Streetfighter feel about it to me, thinner, smaller , more nimble , obviously it’s half the power of the Streetfighter but somehow it all works when your blasting it around and I git a good feeling on the bike

    Nice video chap. Have just come from Nothing To Prove's review of the new MT09 and I have to say this new Monster looks much nicer, especially in that stealthy black. I believe it's a bit lighter than the new Yam so performance wise they should be similar. Keep up the good work.

    • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, yeah exactly, you know I love the Streetfighter and yeah I’ve ridden it fast but find I always end up going too fast too easy, as you know yourself your hard pushed to keep the throttle open on the SF on a run down the lanes, it’s just too fast for normal roads, whereas this you can pin it and a ride it quite hard and it’s fun rather then scary, both great bikes at what they can do

      @ProjectMoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha thanks, cor blimey guv how am I supposed to answer that 😂😂 Na ok I actually rode Both the standard and S supersport the next day , and it was so different from the Monster, they have the same engine but that’s where the similarities end,you won’t believe how light the Monster feels, now I’m not saying it’s better as they are different bikes and to me both have different purposes, would depend on what you personally like better, the range of Ducati’s to me is really good at the moment, every bike has something else to offer the rider , If your interested in either try to get a test ride or even just go and sit on them (preferable at a shop or a friends bike😂) to see how they feel.. years ago I would only ever looked at sports bikes but right now with summer coming, how I ride now and how I have to use a bike personally I’d take a Monster (buts that also cause I know I can jump on a Streetfighter if I want to at any time 😂), but others won’t like the new Monster , they might want a Supersport,Panigale, multistrada, Diavel etc... bikes are just a personal choice what’s right for one won’t be for another

Get my helmet next week, the Arai Signet-X Flag Italy (beautiful). I'm convinced now, that with the lower seat & springs, this bike will work for me at 5'7, 5'8. Just can't understand my dealership, saying springs are on back order from Italy, when they're available from AMS Ducati in Dallas, Texas, USA, ships in 1-3 days? But we'll figure it out! Then recently, I got 31 pts chopped off my credit score; "sons a bitches!" But I'm getting them back, waiting on that as well. I'm venting some frustrations, but in the end, I will get what I want. thanks again!

    Yea... we monster riders care all about the extra 3kg - ish that was saved due to the trellis frame removal. They removed what Made a Monster since day one. • @ProjectMoto
      @ProjectMoto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I get Monster buyers like the trellis frame, it’s been around for so long, but for me really to go forward and make the bike what it is now they had to make some drastic changes, and to ride it has worked, and I get to ride lots of manufacturers bikes, and although in racing I am a Yamaha fan the new monster is definitely not like a Yamaha to ride, I think it’s better... Ducati , across all there range right now for me are better then the Japanese bikes to ride and in build quality, tbh Ducati could of had one of the other older Monsters still available running alone side this for riders who still wanted the trellis frame etc.. but then again all bikes move on and for me the ride has changed massively

      @@ProjectMoto I would really like ro hear how it sounds with Termi exhaust. The stock exhaust on the new Euro6 motors sounds like an angry kitty while mine 696 sounds like and angry dragon who has smoked all his life. If the sound will satisfy me then i will forgive the trellis frame removal. I wish my old 696 had all this technology on it. The old ones are not easy to ride and you need allot of fine gas and clutch maneuvering to ride smoothly especially ar lower speeds. The new ones are more friendly it seems.

      Ok..The bike is just a Monster now.. no ‘cc’ numbers as the older models had (like 797,821,1200) , so when it was released it was easier to say the monster 950 (or 937) so people know the model.. the 950 came from that it is the same engine as the Multistrada 950, hypermotard 950 and the Supersport 950 , even though they are the same 937cc engine they are all called 950’s

      What’s that 12k euro’s?? Across the Ducati range it’s only the Multistrada and Diavel that are keyless, The Panigale V4s is £25k and key start , Personally I rather they spend the money on the development of the bike then a keyless ignition , which I ain’t a fan of on any bike or car, I’m always like where’s the key and checking my pocket and zips on my jacket 😂,everyone likes different things on their bikes that why we all have such a good choice from all manufacturers

    What did Ducati do ? They made a better motorcycle, period. You get stuck with nostalgia and crap, you get left behind (look at how Harley is doing). Innovation has much higher priority than nostalgia. Ducati is known for innovation and performance, they nailed the new monster.
