Hey! Keep your warm ups nice and simple. Pilates is a form of stretching so you don’t really need to do much of that but to warm up I simply jog on the spot, jumping jacks, squats, skips …. 😀

Hey. Your lower back hurts because you are over using these muscles due to weak glutes, core and lower back. Try to push up through your pelvis squeezing your glutes and engage your core, this will help strengthen these muscles and eventually the back pain should go away. That’s if it’s muscular related and you don’t have something else going on.

Hey. You cannot target a specific area of your body to lose fat. Exercise will burn calories which will burn fat over your whole body. This workout is a full body workout meaning it’s working your entire body however the primary muscles you will feel working are your legs and glutes. Your core should be engaged right throughout which will help to strengthen and tone this area also. The end of the workout focuses on your upper body. So all in all this workout will help tone your whole body and burn fat.
Hey. It’s a serious injury that you don’t want to aggravate. I can’t answer that question sorry, it’s best to check with your doctor. You could try it out and go very gentle and see how you feel but this COULD make it worse. I’ve had surgery myself for this type of injury and unfortunately it can be triggered easily by all sorts of exercise.

Hey! I’m sorry to hear that you have been through that. When it comes to training, you really need to just listen to your body. Short workouts daily 15-30 mins with mixed intensity and different workout styles (Pilates, cardio, mobility, resistance training) is what I recommend as an ideal training split. As long as you’ve been cleared by a doctor to get back into exercise then I recommend working towards this. Rest days are important though, make sure you take them as your body tells you it needs it.
It’s not normal but it’s common when you are weaker in your lower back and glutes. Engage your glutes and push through your pelvis and over time you will strengthen these areas.
All exercise will help burn fat as well as build muscle tone, but you really need to focus on your diet and most importantly be consistent with a calorie deficit long enough to actually lose the fat 😊. If you can do this then you will eventually lose the belly pooch. It takes time and patience though and that’s why most people don’t get the results they want. 🩷

Omgosh the 54 yo had a difficult time with the legs on the wall facing forward omgosh! I’ll outta shape! I was really sweating after this workout.
