Great walk around. I’ve had my 1953 M38A1 CDN (Canadian version built by Ford in Windsor, Ont.) for 34 years and was able to learn some new things from your video, Thanks. Also I’d like to say you have done a great restoration on it as well. Happy Jeeping!
Thanks for this very helpful and informative video…and will refer to it in finishing up my M38A1. You have a beautifully restored machine. Can you tell me how I may find more info on how to accurately configure the hood numbers…specifically the later versions as you have on your hood.
Thanks, glad it helped you. As for the hood registration numbers, once they are lost there is really no way to recover them. There are several ways to make correct looking numbers. Contact the guys at www.deltateamdecals.com/ as they are awesome at helping to make up correct numbers.
I got a new A1 I am restoring, I sanded down on the TP25 markings, and they look just like yours. Also I wanted to ask what the M1 Carbine is being held in the Jeep by? I would like to get one and put it in my other A1.
The carbine is being held with just a standard military rifle mount. I mounted it with one of the existing dash bolts and the base on the floor is mounted through the hole for the drain hole mount.

Thanks, glad you were able to pick up a few pieces of info for these Jeeps.
Another great episode. Once I get my M715 finished up a M38 is next. Then I can bug you with questions about that one. Lol
Sounds good. Fire away with questions
Thanks, lot's of great knowledge.
Thanks
Good job
Thanks

I wonder if a tow rope similar to the one used on the World War 2 jeep would fit in the tool box under the passenger seat? 🤔
It would probably be a tight fit depending on how long the rope was.
