I actually think this makes KC look kind of bad. No reasonable person would expect her to have to work a 9 to 5 job after 3 kids and 18 years of marriage to a man worth 250 to 400 million. I would also like to add that during those 18 years, I am sure Kevin wanted her available as he needed her which also impeded her ability to earn a living. The domino effect of that is she missed out on 18 years of potential retirement income too. Yes, the average person with average wealth might have to go back and work a 9 to 5, but their situation is far from average. Given the unique circumstances of his wealth, he will probably wind up paying more than the prenup.
She's still young and had plenty of opportunity to better herself, like getting a college education and having a profession or skill that can support her without depending on a man for her wealth. Back to the real world for her is a big adjustment, but it was her choice to devote everything to their kids, which isn't always the wisest choice in a sour marriage. Seems like she choose to whine to Kevin about not spending more time with family, but why didn't Christine choose to have the kids homeschooled and travel to locations with Kevin when filming? If she spent more time with self improvement and less time about whining, she'd feel more powerful about her future. It's all about the children now, and Kevin will make sure they don't lack for anything.

Unless she was also successful before the marriage, she is not going to work on building a career. There is no reason for her to do that when she has children to raise, a husband on the road, and money is not an issue. She put her children first by being the parent who was there for them while KC was on the road with his band or on location filming.
She had help, but she was the parent who was physically there for them at their home and put them ahead of her career ambitions and gave them a somewhat normal life instead of globetrotting. Will she get half of his money? No, but she will get more than the prenup outlines. She will get the present value of what he was originally going to provide for a home and probably 20 to 40 million and KC will still have more money than he could ever spend. Her time was worth something and the time she put into the marriage based on his wealth will be what she gets. I am sure KC will not be able to deny that he wanted her home with the kids when he was away and he expected her to oversee their staff.
The prenup she signed would probably fly if no kids were involved and the marriage ended after a short period, but that is not the case and I don’t think we will see Christine working a 9 to 5 job ever unless she wants to. We should all be so lucky to have rich people’s problems.
