thanks for the video. Recently purchased and installed the kit today. Neither of the hex key options you mentioned were included in my kit. I ended up stripping the included hex key; kind of a bummer. Key kit is great, love the look and feel, very happy with my purchase.
I had a similar bad experience with that cheap right angle tool that was included. Stripped my screws also. Kind of bummed because now when I have to change the battery I'm going to lose those screws if I can even get them out.
on your website, for the SPARE PART - Verified Threaded Key Blank, it states: Verify your Lexus length!---but there's no mention on measurements!? How do we know if its long or short?>??
Hi Andy, I recently purchased your titanium reinforced Toyota Lexus key kit, and I wanted to share some feedback. Unfortunately, the experience of assembling the key FOB was quite frustrating. The cheap right-angle tool included in the kit was not up to the task-it was difficult to use, and it ended up stripping both the tool and the screws. The screws are now in the key fob, but they’re damaged. I’m concerned that when the time comes to change the battery, I won’t be able to unscrew them because both the screw heads and the tool have lost their grip. This could create an even bigger issue down the line. I understand the need to manage costs, but the quality of the tools provided made the assembly process unnecessarily difficult. I would strongly encourage you to reconsider the inclusion of such a tool in future kits. It’s important to ensure that the products you sell don’t compromise the customer experience. Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback.
Hello! Yes! Completely agreed. The Wera driver has actually been erratic and slow due to logistics, not so much cost concerns. Please shoot me an email and I'll be sure to get you a complimentary set of screws and Wera driver. Additional anecdote, I started including Wiha drivers and bits, but they couldn't keep up. I bought out digikey, Amazon and Wiha immediately and it took weeks to restock so I abandoned it. Wera has a choppy setup process for OEMs (multiple signed forms to initiate orders) so it's just been rough. However, I think we're at the precipice now and we should see wera drivers going out on all YotaMD kits that involve a key blade this month. Thanks again and please send me your email so we can be sure to get you that driver.
@@user-df1gh8le6l right on!!! I’m ordering the ydm1 for my Land Cruiser on the top of your page, saves me on buying the tool! Thank you for the quick answer!

Hi Andy,
Still waiting for a replacement for my 2021 Tacoma manual. You ever releasing something?

There should be a picture showing it next to a credit card. You can also look up example of them and compare to yours.
@@user-df1gh8le6l An actual size measure in mm would be more helpful.

@@user-df1gh8le6l Thank you so much for responding and for standing behind your product. I will send all my friends your way. Thanks, Andy!
Do they include the wera driver now? Looking to purchase soon
Yes! We finally got that sorted out so every kit now ships with a proper 1.3mm hex driver from Wera. They're awesome!

@@user-df1gh8le6l right on ordering one for my Land Cruiser tonight then! Very excited
Can you use a key blade that was from a non fob integrated key? Like the valet key?
No, you need a key blade from a remote key
I went to your website to buy this product but $80 for postage is a joke. Why is it so much
I didn't think we have any shipping options that high. Where are you shipping too?
