In the late 70s & early 80s you could swim at Tonkawa Falls. I have great memories of summer picnics & jumping off of the falls. There are climbing holes on the side of the falls. To be strong enough to climb up was kind of a major accomplishment at least to our group that went. Insurance companies stopped writing policies for swimming during the 90s. Too bad. It was a lot of fun.

When it came into view, I had flashbacks of being there with friends, sliding down the falls. Always a great memory.
Didn't know that couldn't be done anymore. That's a shame.

It was so much fun! We climbed and jumped a hundred times, swam and slid, picnics and long sunny hikes, even in winter we went. It seems nothing ever improves.

Too bad. Screw insurance companies. Doctors now won’t do stents unless the blockage exceeds 50%. Why? Insurance and Medicaid won’t pay.

Ypu can still swim there at least I did last week there was a few cops watching but there was like 40 people out there just no coolers, I think it's a rv park now and maybe that's why you can swim idk it's right next to the football field and was free to enter.

Concerning the tradedy in Waco, My husband said this was a reminder of the government saying "Hey, we don't want you doing your own thing, we will destroy you." They brought tanks apparently and there was a stand off and I don't know who shot first, but whatever the case, these poor souls didn't deserve to be massacred, especially these babies that died. So so sad.

The “Waco” incident occurred about 12 miles outside of town near an unincorporated town of Elk. Waco does not deserve this label.

Not sure it's as simple as the governement saying, "we don't want you doing your own thing". It's been reported that Koresh was having sex with multiple minors regularly, claiming he was god, so it's ok. Not surprising, it happens often with religious cults (the leaders use their position to have sex with their followers). WIth that said, certainly a shame to they all died, especially the children.

Many happy memories there from my teens, jumped off those cliffs many times. It's not as safe now as then, more water and other factors. But it's a great place to swim, picnic and spend time in.

I have no idea what you are talking about at 8:05. If a judge signs a warrant and I have nothing to hide why would I not allow a search to be conducted? My family's lives are more important than a inconvience of having my home searched.

I remember the time and place I saw the buildings burning. My professor had contacts 'on the ground' there and we received weekly updates as it escalated. Very sad and agree with you on it being "an abuse of power on both sides" as I've experienced the cult side first hand with a similar org.
