Very interesting video, Dani. I didn't know much about Waco except for Baylor University sports. I'm a big fan of Dr. Pepper so I'm sure that I would enjoy the museum.
I drove through Baylor and it's definitely a pretty campus! I bet you would enjoy the museum then, but if you're running low on time, you can always skip the museum and just get a freshly made Dr Pepper too! 😄
Great video. We are going to be headed down there soon and planned on visiting several places you mentioned. Keep smiling and see what you think of our videos if you haven't already.
My wife and I visited Homestead Heritage earlier this year. Absolutely enjoyed every bit of it. They have so much more than what was seen in this video. Cheese shop and cave, blacksmith shop, leather and wood working, grist mill, two restaurants, general and grocery stores, and much more. Looking forward to our next trip to Waco.
They do have a ton of things there at Homestead Heritage, it could have its own entire video showcasing things to do/see there! Thanks for listing out some of the other things there! Hopefully it gives even more reason for people to visit!!
Park if you can at one of the First Baptist Church parking lots on Webster or Clay right by the Market. Parking fee goes to the church for kids camps, missions, etc. and they pay their lot attendants very well. In exchange, you get safe off street parking close enough to make a quick trip back to the car to drop packages, leave your sweater because it's hot, pick up your coat because it's cold, etc.
Thanks for visiting Waco for me as I am heading that way soon and will make a point to plan my trip ...along with the background noise ...I appreciate you being authentic.
@@platonique Robinson is a neighboring community -- part of the Greater Waco Area. So the title still fits. The last oldest brewery to exist here was also not IN WACO PROPER. Plus I have to deal with Waco city for much of my ability to exist. Oh. And my Zip code isn't changing either. I don't know how governments define boundaries. I'm just building a business people seem to want. Come by and see us. Ask for me. I'll give you details if your interested. Thanks.
Great video!! I am a bit disappointed in leaving The Texas Ranger Hall of Fame off the list. I get that it isn't everyones cup of tea, but it is a great place for history buffs. For groups, it is a great place for the guys so that the ladies can shop at the Silos in peace.
Thanks, yes, I did forget about adding the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame. And I think that's a fantastic idea that it's where the guys can go while the ladies enjoy all the shopping at the Silos! lol! Thanks for you comment!
You was thinking like I did growing up in Waco I always called the court house the mini White House like in DC because it looked like the White House to me and the old county jail is attached to the back of it then they built a new one out on the old 77 but Clyde Borrow was held in the city jail downtown close to the courthouse in which is the city hall that set in the middle of the town close to the old suspicionBridge you was on the first cattle crossing tow bridge. Did you know Dr Pepper was first made in Waco the plant is still in Waco will the update one is outside of Waco close to the compound where David caress stand off was with the ATF and the FBI in the 90s in which I was in East Texas then but I was raised in Waco in the 70s and 80s I came back in 2011 because it my hometown been here every since. When I leave I’ll be heading to heaven😊Clyde Borrow broke out of jail with the help of Bonnie you the Texas famous outlaw from the Great Depression in the 30s
Thanks Robert for your comment! I enjoyed reading it and that you also thought the courthouse looks like a mini White House! Haha. So many awesome facts and I hope you're enjoying living in Waco again! :)
You must have left many years ago. I got to Waco 7 years ago. (got to Texas as quick as I could!) It's way different now. Lot's to do. Please come back for a visit.
The entire video is bright and sunny! Plenty to do and see. Who knew Waco was Cool?
Thanks!

You missed my Brewery -- Bare Arms Brewing!!!!! Oldest brewery in Waco. Otherwise, most excellent video! Thanks for sharing!
Well, you're moving to Robinson so how's that title gonna fit 😭
