Once again- Dr. Fuhrman proves that he is the scientist, the voice of reason and unquestionably the most important healthdoc of my generation. Additionally, he is so patient with explaining and answering questions and concerns. I have all of his books starting with Eat to Live many years ago and watch his talks like these almost daily , I always learn another tweak to help me🩷.
Dr Fuhrman thank you for this information. I’m going to download the studies on protein & give it to my husbands doctor. While his lab indicated that his protein was in the normal range, she insisted that plant protein was inferior to animal protein. Of course being on a plant based diet he reversed his diabetes, CKD, HTN & Chronic diarrhea isn’t proof enough, for her, that he is healthy.
I was stupid enough to go from Fuhrman to keto- paleo( high cream and butter)for about 2 years until I realized I was losing the ability to remember nouns like names of spices. I could visualize them but it was frustrating attempting to remember the names. Then a Viome fecal sample test revealed I had bacteria which the Japanese call " non invasive markers for adonoma/ colon cancer(after I bothered to look up every active bacteria in my gut ). As well I had gut bacteria producing deadly TAMO,the clogger of arteries!!!;I stopped all animal products and again went Nutritarian, months passed and finally a healthy gut ,healthy metabolic markers and clearer thinking and once again easier remembering and ability to articulate well.
Thank you for taking so much time to clarify the difference between your diet, and the many similar diets which fail with catastrophic injury. SO many people struggle with a profound need to stay addicted to their salts, oils, sweets . Food Addiction fools so many. I appreciate your moral courage to stick to your research.
I seem to stay ripped on a high fat diet, I eat a lot of beans too and tofu, bananas potatoes soy milk I get the organic, pumpkin seeds, I love making lentil patties and making strawberry banana smoothies with soy milk and Ceylon little maple syrup and real stevia and I know it's got gluten but for a refined breads i like Ezekiel sesame their sprouted tortillas are good as well the bread is made from sprouted grains as well to jelp5 digestion and micro micronutrients, 1 slice is 5 grams plant protein, I been feeding off wild apples
Thanks. After studying all the various restrictive diets, knowing people who are on them, and trying a few myself, I have come to some conclusions. Whether the diet contains almost no carbs, is only plants, or doesn't allow any plants, people have better lab numbers if they cut out the ultra processed foods. Keto can be done either clean or dirty. Same with plants only depending on whether people eat ultra processed stuff and/or seed oils. But anyone who avoids the ultra processed junk, will become much more healthy. Nuts and seeds are very healthy. I make my own granola with them. And a diet is very healthy if it is comprised of mostly fresh or frozen vegetables and fruits. But I still eat some wild caught salmon, free range chicken and eggs, and grass fed beef, along with Greek yogurt and cottage cheese, beans, and a few whole grains.
I wish there were more followers to watch this. The Carnivore & Keto gurus have thousands of followers so their word gets out to a far larger audience. Sadly.
Dr.Fuhrman, I have suggested the chefs at Mar Largo and the white House first read Eat for Life then invite you to enhance the MAHA mandate of the incoming administration. Regarding Trumps atrocious diet, I suggested chefs first make kale chips for him to substitute French fries for as a start.

I’d followed him for many years, felt amazing until I chased the magical unicorn, went low fat and felt terrible, switched to carnivore for 7 months; felt good for about 2 months and then my strength and workouts went down the toilet, labs cost me an expensive life insurance policy, insomnia settled in, and horrible joint pain. I’m back following him and no regrets or returning to carnivore or low fat vegan. He’s an honest, humble doctor that I can attest for. I’d not get too arrogant with the carnivore lifestyle and stay humble as it may bite you in the future.
This guy is a nonsense factory. He's saying that gluten is only in a white flour. 😮 No, gluten is in every type of flour. And white flour is not a pure sugar. Sugar is glucose AND fructose, but any flour is just glucose... I don't have the energy to listen to any more of his nonsense...

Oh how I wish I had listened to Dr Fuhrman while I was caring for my father. 😢 I know we could have made him healthy again with Dr Fuhrmans advice.

I'm vegan but I've never eaten mushrooms (as regular food 😋) easiest way to start?
Fresh white mushrooms cleaned and sliced on a salad. Embrace the texture of mushrooms.
May I add, to always cook mushrooms and don’t eat them raw. Dr Fuhrman says this all the time. Simply done by sautéing them in some vegetable broth.

Sounds like zinc sulfate. Take less, or use a different form. Zinc glycinate is mild.
says Zinc Monomethionine (OptiZinc) guess 30mg. But yah just like magnesium, glycinate would be best I’m sure! Thanks 😊
Oh heard at end of video, about like 10mg of zinc. Just small amount. Makes sense. Think we took 25mg and even 50mg at once 😳 no wonder hehe.
