As someone who grew up in the 90s and fell in love with the Mega Man Legends series, I'm so happy that I not only found a channel dedicated to teaching how to do low-poly, but doing designs in the style of Mega Man Legends. Loved how you did Juliet while also remaining faithful to the the MML style.
I used to think that 3D modeling was the hardest thing to do, ever. But your 1 hour long video of you UV Unwrapping summed up how easy it is- time consuming but still doable. Your way of teaching is admirable because it's not boring, so thank you Crashune! \o/
hey I need help with something. when I import your pomni rig into blender, it makes the circle pom poms on her outfit square. the first time I imported it it was fine. can you help me fix this please?
that's because simplify is on! If Simplify is turned off (I believe it's under the render properties tab) they'll go back to being round. :)(Though this will reduce performance when animating so be careful!)
@@CrashsuneAcademy Ahh that makes a lot more sense haha, i've been fighting with emissions and colour ramps trying to match that in blender for like 40 mins lmao
also for the pomni rig, how do you move the mouth, iris, and all of those other ones? whenever I select it and go into pose, I don't know how to move it up and down
God I always get jumpscared by seeing Stephan Silvers name anywhere, I was friends with his son growing up and spent a lot of time at their house and didnt fully comprehend who he was until i was in highschool Anyways cool video and I'm going to use it to help me make my own model :D
Hey, there is an easier way to upload your textures without having to export the textures over and over again for every single adjustment. I recommend using the Auto-Reload plugin, this way you can use the .psd file and have your textures updated every time you adjust the textures and save the file. I HIGHLY recommend you to watch MoltenBolt's tutorial on how to set up the plugin; it will save you so much time. Auto-Reload just essentially updates the textures from your file every time it's updated/adjusted, so you dont have to manually upload the updated texture; very tedious. I hope this will help you.
Can I just say that you're super cute or would that be weird? 😅 Anyways, thanks for the tutorials! I made my first low poly character using your guides. Really helpful! Wish you success!
2:40, while that's a really good method for making a reference you can accurately model to, especially for Blender. It does make me worry about repetitious proportions. Such as the size of a characters, Chest, Hips, Waists and limb length. Example, you might want to exaggerate certain features to communicate details. Such as giving Juliet a slightly bigger hips due to her constant 'big butt' comments, she makes in the game. Or add additional definition, to imply she's more toned than due to her cheerleading. 21:40, I know it would of been way too much extra work, I was wondering if your rainbow effect was going to contain the words inside of Juliet's, because there is a word inside of the effect, I just dunno what it says.
