  • In this project we’re building a DIY gamepad using the Bluefruit EZ-Key module and a 3D printed case.
The Bluefruit EZ-Key HID keyboard controller is a bluetooth breakout design for making DIY keyboards and game pads. It’s requires no programing and works with just about any trigger or push button. It takes up to 12 inputs and can be powered with any 3-16 VDC.

The Perma-Proto comes in different sizes which is perfect for making all sorts of projects. The ½ sized Perma-Proto breadboard is like a business card and which makes it perfect for making a small game controller.

This is way cool! I'm actually in the process of building a GB-Zero at the moment, but my next project will be an actual console build based around a Raspberry Pi 3 and I really wanted to go down the route of Bluetooth wireless controllers - thanks so much for this! :D

I'm in the process of turning a nerf longshot into a virtual reality controller with a wii remote with motion plus for mouse controll and a nunchuck in the grip.
I have come to a conclusion that I've run out of keys with most games. And this is a perfect idea for me to incorporate more.
Why didn't I find this earlier!

l could remake that into a mini fighting game controller. With 6 buttons on the right. And the Start/Select buttons would be on the top, just to avoid design complexity.

Cool none the less. Mine i didnt store the arduino in the gamepad, it hooks into a bus im creating that you can plug in any old retro controller into and use as usb. Also working on making it able to plug into a nes, and possibly a snes.
