Will the gas canister explode if you drill into it?? Puncture the gas canister. The best safest way. That's what my newest film in Mountain hiking and adventure is called. Make it a DIY project.
My last video was about filling gas yourself, take two half-full tubes and top up the gas so it becomes a full gas tube.
I also released in the same vein a new playlist called DIY / MYOG.
Because I sawed into a tube of Primus winter gas in my last episode, I felt I had to do an extra episode about gas safety. I sawed in a tube with Primus winter gas but had punctured the gas bottle before and let all the gas out so it was depressurised.
Then it could be done completely safely. If you do it wrong, it can have disastrous consequences. In my outdoor life / mountain hiking, I get a lot of gas tubes. Therefore, when I have refilled the ones that are seen in my previous film "Fill på gas yourself and a look at Vintergasen" which is found in my new playlist "DIY / MYOG Creativity flows", there will eventually be many empty ones left over. But there is almost always some gas left that must be emptied, then the tube must be punctured in order to be thrown away as metal recycling.
And if you are refilling your gas tubes, you do so at your own risk. The containers are actually made as disposable containers.

Det där sista var smart tänkt😊👍🏻. Har respekt för gas, så jag kör mina stove spisar ute. Lätta att ta i sär när de svalnat och stoppa i påsen jag sytt av jeanstyg. Funkar för mig😊

Jag brukar spara använda småtuber och sprayburkar tills det är dags att elda brasa, sen mata in 1-3 stycken åt gången.
Det blir oftast en fruktansvärd smäll och metalldelar kan flyga iväg en bra bit så gäller att passa sig... Men skoj är det! 😅
