start about 1/8 in longer than the butane refill tip and cut it down till you get it right
if its too short butane will shoot out when refilling, if its too long no butane will go in the cartridge

Are you using the refill can standard tip? Would a Clipper butane can tip work?

i don’t know the clipper one
im using the standard tip
once you get the needle the perfect size you just save that needle and use the same brand refill and it fits all of them
i’ve even used different brand butane with the standard tip and the needle works on them

if mosquitoes start biting i put more on the pad, thats the way i do it
