After shopping through a whole bunch of videos, I can say this is easily the best video for basic taping and information. And all under 5 minutes!! Congrats.

My podiatrist taped my foot in almost the exact manner and I tell you I had immediate relief , plus I had stretches to follow up with plus inserts . So believe it or not it works

I've had plantar fasciitis for over 8 years on and off. Horseback riding has helped keep the muscle stretched, but recently it's been acting up again after spending most of my day on my feet instead of in the saddle. I've had great success taping my kneecap similarly to this, I look forward to trying this to see if it helps my foot pain!

Taping up my feet really helped me. Another thing that helped my feet was using a percussion massager on my feet when I got home from work. The massager really got a healthy bloodflow to my feet.

I have mine on for 6 days now and just took it off while showering. This technique is something else. Oh, there is still some pain, but at least 70 percent less. From just a couple of pieces of tape and an expert doctor. I am so thankful. It turned me from a cripple to a regular walking human again. I simply could not believe it.

I'm curious as to why you would induce pronation by going medial to lateral with the cross strips, when overpronation is often a contributing cause of plantar fasciitis? Wouldn't it make more sense to go lateral to medial in attempt to fix the subtalar joint axis/encourage more supination?

OMG !!!! I have had this pain for 6 months. Usually can't even walk in the mornings. Did the taping before I got out of bed. My pain was probably a 5 walking to the bathroom. After about a dozen steps I was at a 3. The rest of my day I'd say its a solid 2 in pain. It makes no sense but I went from a 10 first thing to a 5 easily. It does start to hurt a little more if I do a lot of walking but nothing compared to what I've been living with. My Dr never even mentioned it just gave me pills and sent me on my way. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Tried this taping method for first time today, and it does genuinely help, and a lot.
Had plantar fascitis in both feet about 10yrs ago, and had been trying the same exercises etc that I was told to do then but wasn't really working.
It isn't a miracle cure obviously but managed 12 X 3 minute rounds boxing training on the punch bag and no real pain throughout or afterwards.
Can still feel it but no longer feels like a tooth abscess in my heel like it was after training without this method of taping.

My heel also got taped by my doctor, it was very tight and uncomfortable first day, but its suppose to relieve the inflammation, which is what is causing me severe ankle pain. I had it removed after first week, but still had pain, so had it strapped again for second week. Hopefully it will cure the pain. First week also on steroids and second week cortisone shot.

Wow, I just wanted to be able to wrap my foot so that I could exercise today. My doctor did it for me before and I could not remember how to place the tape. This is just like she did it only with a smaller size tape. Therefore, more tape was used. My foot feels better already. I won't have to go to urgent care to get it wrapped. Of course, if needed, I will make an appointment with my doctor. I needed to know how to place the tape so that I could support the area that needs protection.

There are a few things for plantar foot treatments
      Try to rest your feet
      Try Wearing supportive footwear
      Use ice on your heel
Take ibuprofen or another nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug to reduce pain and inflammation
      try night splints
      Do stretching and strengthening exercises.

I have a question and if anyone could answer me, preferably with prior experience or knowledge, it would be extremely helpful. I'm just wondering why he twists her foot so much when applying the horizontal pieces of tape. Also, would it work the same if I used all 1 inch tape instead of 2 inches? Thanks!

    • @breadandcircus1

He twists her foot so the tape will have no wrinkles. No, the 2 inches wide is better to cross the foot, will support the foot better than a thinner one

I walk a lot and I needed a Podiatrist to tape my foot twice. She said to leave it on for 5 days top. Thing is: you can't shower unless you are VERY good at making sure no water will get under the tape. Water can generate a fungal infection so she suggested I put a sock on + plus a plastic bag tapes around my calf to make sure your foot will not get wet at all.

I had six back surgeries. I have sciatica nerve pain in my left leg. I also have a spinal cord stimulator that helps with the nerve pain in my left leg. However, I still have plantar fasciitis in my left foot. It hurts a lot. I hate it!! This taping looks like a good idea! Maybe, I should give it try!! ❤

    Greetings Doctor
    Greetings and respects,
I suffer from heel pain, swelling and swelling of the Achilles tendon. After the diagnosis and the imaging, the doctor told me that you have calcifications in your feet, I have limescale.
He prescribed me some medication and it didn't help.
I can't walk or run, I feel depressed about what happened.
    help me
    Thank you in advance ..

Had this horrible condition and suffered from it for around 2 years... till one night I switched to sleeping on my tummy and it went away the next morning. I guess it could be the way the arch is bent that solved it... but in a way its the opposite of the stretches recommended by the doctors and physios (which did give me temporary relief but never solved it ). Never looked back ... people who find it difficult breathing when lying on their tummy are not recommended to try this. Cheers.
