The moment when you’ve just spent ages taping your arch everyday for two weeks and remember you have some lovely orthotics in a cupboard 😫

Orthotics are definitely the easier option for a lot of people. Hope it settles down for you.

@@PhysioMSKi don't know how anyone can afford Orthotics? I'm injured from my job as a cashier, I make such a meagre wage that I couldn't afford to even get a mold done, let alone pay for an orthotic 😢 I may as well not have even bothered with the initial consult.

@@chelseascott5872 The whole field is in it’s infancy. Much more needs to be done. With the internet, we can find things better.
There’s a soft cushioned peel-away shoe insert. Not cheap, but definitely the right idea. Material is antibacterial, has a light glue, just peel away to get the right fit.

Is this not the wrong direction to support the arch? Should be laterally to medially to support arch.

It doesn’t make any difference. You are taping transversely across a longitudinal tissue. Whatever way feels best to you.

I just saw another video, saying to use KTAPE, so which is the best. ????

K Tape is an elastic sports tape. It’s stretch properties are no good for something like this. The plantar fascia is inelastic. It needs rigid support for this condition. You really don’t want your arch collapsing with every step. Plantar fasciitis needs a firm insole or a non stretch tape.

For how long? When the pain usually end? How long does PF last?
