Thanks Jason. I don’t know if you ever tried Fury in the West, but that is another excellent Shiloh game. Part 3 is recorded, and awaiting editing. Stay tuned!! - Paul
Shiloh is about 5 hours from me. I gotta get there sometime! The photo of me and the canon is from Snodgrass Hill, chicksmauga bettlefield - another place Harry should recognize. Tennessee is hog-heaven for civil war battlefields! - Paul
That Chickamauga park is so huge; I could go several times and still find new stuff to see and ponder. The Shiloh park is smaller, but from what I hear it is still in the middle of nowhere, and except for national park service upgrades, still pretty much as it was at the battle. Most Excellent!!
@@theoakenknight1748 I would venture to say...the South had better generals whilst the North had every other advantage. The only hope for the South was if England came in on her side and I was told that was highly unlikely
Hi Marc. Glad you liked it. The markers are "Flame Markers" made by LITKO. On Amazon for $6.98 for a set of 10. I have 2 sets and use them all the time. Between these, tiddly winks, and wooden cubes of various colors, all my marker needs are nicely met! Take care...., Paul
You are most correct Mr Happy! Says it clearly in black and white. Since they only fire in the Union Offensive Fire phase, and that phase occurs before union movement, the effectiveness of the gunboats will slide from marginal down to miserable. From what I read, the main thing that the gunboats did was keep everyone up at night, so maybe that is appropriate. ;^) Paul
Every time it looked like the Confederates were ready to bust through, the Union held on. Nicely done video.
Thanks!!
Enjoying your videos, definitely making me want to get Shiloh back on my table. Keep up the excellent work!

My buddy Harry knew this was Shiloh just by a pic I sent him. He's an expert in Civil War.

I am waiting for a copy of Gettysburg myself. Very curious about the added melee phase.
Rule on the gun boats as I read it cannot fire on Confederate unit that is adjacent to a union unit, is that how you read the rule?
