- Yeah it’s slow… it’s stock sooooooo…… Keep in mind that this is the first time I’ve floored the car since I bought it so I’m shifting super slow on purpose. W/O a passenger and with a good tire I’d probably run a 8.6 or so.
9 seconds is fast lol, especially on a bone stock car. The LS7 is a legendary engine and was way ahead of it's time. It's an N/A monster when built.

If you listen closely you can hear a little bit of wheelspin in 2nd. So basically without wheelspin and without the passenger it will hit around mid-8 seconds. Not bad for a naturally aspirated, manual car from the mid 2000s!
That’s pretty fast for stock. My 6th gen SS does it in 8.5 seconds with bolt ons and E85 full weight. I got one more bolt on and trans tuning. Hoping for low 8’s with some weight reduction

This is faster than g80m3 even with slow shifting. Now it makes sense why in some videos these stock z06s are beating hellcats

@@techmaster777 fair but the upside is these are way easy to tune it’s just an exhaust and a tune to get it there. And you get modern interior if that’s your thing for dd. Obv this engine and seating pos is more of an experience tho
@@captainminecraftist Sure but if you’re talking modded vs modded then that opens up a whole new can of worms. Hellcats are in the 7s 1/4 mile lol. C6 corvettes are in the 6s if not 5s 1/4 mile. A g80 m3 will never touch those numbers or even come close. They are however nice inside and a good all around car if you’re not looking for a race car.
@@techmaster777 I mean G80s stock turbo without the ability to unlock the ECU thereby allowing only piggy back tunes have ran 9 seconds in the quarter, I doubt they’d touch as low as 7 seconds but I can definitely see lower times in the realm of possibility

It was the first time I floored it after I bought and the shifter felt a little loose making it hard to find 3rd. That’s why I was shifting slow. No worries tho I bought a short throw shifter for it

@@JackieAlexandre for some reason this car has the sloppiest shifter I’ve ever felt. In gear it’ll move at least 1/2 an inch on both sides. My 08 c6z stock shifter felt amazing. Not sure what the deal is with this one🤷🏻♂️. I’ll make a before and after video with my new MGW short throw within a week or so.
No passenger and good shifting would get you in mid 8's.

60-120 time is 7.47 if you stop the Video in the right Moment. That is impressive for Stock and a Passenger. Could mean a low 7 in a Stock, N/A 10+ years old car. Holy moly. Now i feel slow in my Diesel 😅🙈.

Would have been less than 9 seconds if the 2-3 shift was a touch faster. Nevertheless, this car is one of the best that Chevy has ever put out.
That’s pretty quick considering you had a passenger. My 10 speed mustang stock with a 93 tune did 9.6 60-130 without a passenger.
That sentence doesn't make sense. Stock tune 93? So it's not stock.

I was Intake exhaust B3 cam no head porting on my last c6z and did a 7.44. Not bad considering it only had 3 performance parts on it

60-130 in 9 seconds is fast as hell to me. That’s faster than a lot of cars can do 0-60.
