    I bought and returned the APM because of the itchy ear pads. I really wanted to like them because I’m all in the Apple ecosystem, but they were just so uncomfortable. I ended up buying the XM4.

    So for untrained ear, extra bass sounds great. However, for audio accuracy the bose actually come in first for me.

    The XM4s are great but I think the Bose QC 35s or 45s would have been better competition. The 700s just aren't very good and I have no idea why they are priced so high.

    I personally think the APM are the best choice if you want superior sound quality, they have the best separation of sound, depth, and ease of listening along with replaceable ear cups and believe it or not, the ability to repair them, which is super out of character for apple. however they are also the most expensive and therefore already out of the race for most people who want just a basic listening experience and punchy bass, even if they sacrifice sound quality for extra bass (much like the skull candy crushers). the Sony XM4 however are the overall champion here, while they don't have the sound quality of the APM, they deliver punchier bass, have a fully functional app for sound EQ, an actual carrying case, lighter weight and therefore less clamping force. they also offer a more standard four leather ear cup that is more comfortable to more people, while the APM have a weird woven fabric material that is covering a memory foam pad. not to mention that the Sony's have better battery life, however, that being said, the APM support much faster charging and can be fully charged in roughly an hour in my experience. and last and least are the Bose, if you buy these, the only thing that I can say is that I hope you can still return them. there is not one single redeeming quality about the Bose headphones, especially at the price that they are charging for them. the ANC is mediocre at best, the sound quality is not only flat, but it is also muddy and lacks any definition or life to the music, they have a very strange build that is prone to breaking fairly quickly, and lack any special quality like the APM with the apple ecosystem and the Sony's with their very own app. all in all, I would say if you have the money, are in the apple ecosystem, and don't mind slightly less bass, the APM are the true choice hands down. but if you don't wanna spend that kind of money and want more features, stronger bas albeit slightly less separation and clarity, and ANC second only to the APM, then the Sony's are the winner. which in most cases they are gonna be the winner, they exceed at more fields and check more boxes for the average consumer than the other two options, and will give an experience that you will not be able to complain about aside from nitpicking. sorry this comment was so ling, but I fell they did the APM dirty in this video, when they have been established as the best sounding wireless headphones on the market, even when compared to B&O's $800 H95 headphones. but they do lack some punchy bass and the independent app.

      They are also incredibly heavy and are uncomfortable to wear after a short period of time.

    • @daltonparker7792
      @daltonparker7792 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mickeytollison that’s a very personal opinion. I can wear them for hours on end and not notice any discomfort. Yet some people I’ve let use them complain of headaches even ten minutes after trying them on. However, your short jab of a comment still doesn’t make any of what I said inaccurate, nor does it take away from the performance of the headphones themselves, nor the value therin.

      @@tylergarrett8066 In my experience compared to the wmx3 the sound in the bose 700 is better.. Everything is clear and finely tuned you can hear every instrument and the sound surrounds you.. no need to be messing about with eq settings, etc.. On top of that the noise cancelling is also far superior.. the best feature though which might seem minor but once you get used to it there is just not going back and that is the multi point connectivity basically I can be listening to music on my phone and when I have an incoming teams meeting call on my laptop they switch seamlessly.. so far very impressed with the bose 700..

    We all hear differently I guess I’ve used all 3 and prefer the APM for their better control, separation and detail. The only real competitor to it in terms of build quality and sound are the B&O H95. The XM4’s sound good for that over emphasized v curve sound signature but it’s a bit muddy at times as it over accentuates mid-base and doesn’t have a very articulate sub base presence hence their boomy nature. The Bose are more neutral, have good detail but can sound slightly harsh at louder volumes. Also worth a mention is the B&W PX7 which has a nice build quality and a darker sound with a good sub base extension.

    I have also listened to these. The Sony sound excellent but as an audio professional and someone that has listen to so many phones over the year for the consumer I believe the Apple are the best made phones that I have seen for consumers ,the sound to me is truly spectacular. I heard a lot of depth and I am listening to classical music, jazz, R&B and pop. I have not listen to hip-hop on it because that’s not an area that I am an expert in but when I listen to that on other speakers and I hear the bass very pronounced I would think that the company that makes headphones that pronounce that will get a better review for that type of music. The one thing is for sure none of these are made as good as the Apple Air Max..Very high-quality in the materials they used to make these. Yes they are expensive

    That’s because young people like fake bass. I own sony xm4 and iPod max. The max has the best pure quality sound. You guys have grown up on bass. That makes you slightly biased to earphones with that are bass heavy. What was interesting was the fact that you all agree that the iPod max sound better. Both of my headphones are not cheap so I don’t take them out. I have good quality earbuds for that.the Sony’s are lighter,but for pure listening quality the iPod max rule. Also the sound stage while i am watching movies on my iPad is incredible. And the fact that they connect beautifully to each apple device is a winner. Yes they are expensive, but all Apple products are. I love my iPod max.

      Nathaniel, bro, I have the Airpods max and I love the sound but I don't like how anaemic they are in the bass department. I have the Bowers and Wilkins PX7 as well and they too have excellent bass but on the audible spectrum. The Sony xm4 do have the warmest and most enveloping sound. The bass is boom but it doesn't bleed into the highs and mids. The reviews saying so are either just regurgitating what others have said or they just don't know much about audio. TH-cam is a free platform and anyone can claim to be an expert on anything. That is the problem..
