    Some might think of this but I feel I should add... 1. Load your heavier stuff towards the wheels inside the box. 2. If you stack PackOut on top, put your heavier boxes above the wheels. It will be lighter on the Handel and easier to control while moving.

    In my opinion this box is for bulky items that won't fit in the other boxes, things that tend to be on the light side compared to tools, nails and screws. I bought one today and you can push it, the handle doesn't go in once you lift up on the box. There is a stop that is engaged when the handle is lifted up as you would carry it but not when it's simply on the ground. This allows you to close it without pushing anything once it's on the ground. Maybe this is a new feature, idk.

    Thanks for the insightful look at the new rolling chest Devin! We really wanted one, but after seeing it loaded up with your tools, I can only imagine how cumbersome it would become with additional boxes on top. Great review!

    A big rolling tool chest like this Milwaukee "Packout" is fine for the oversized tools you need to protect from theft or damage. However for securing and moving around smaller tools there are better toolbox solutions at several different price points.

    I’m considering this. Would hold bulky stuff not necessarily heavy stuff. Add three drawer box at bottom and a crate on other side and I think it would be super handy.

    I just watched your video with some ‘buyers regret’ as I’d just loaded the thing up, and it is HEAVY!
    I tried getting it in my truck, I did it, but it was HORRIBLE!
    And this is going to be at least a once a day thing, maybe more!
    I found some folding aluminium ramps that are sort of ‘sprung’ in the middle. MAN it is so easy! Even with a crate on chest, and a screw organiser on that ( load right up) it just rolls in and out super easy! Getting out is easier than in, as sometimes if you ‘hesitate’ handle wants to fold back in, but with a committed push straight in, pretty effortless.
    Tomorrow is a trial run on job site, but theoretically, everything I use, is deployed in one hit, and ramps really are seconds to deploy and stow.
    My gut feeling is, I’m on to a winner!
    And I scored CHEST for $135 USD RAMPS were about $95
    Fingers crossed

  • @mariorockero

    Thanks for the Video Devin. I been thinking about getting this box, I have different PackOut boxes and drawers. My intention was to load the boxes with materials and equipment that I use for installations and load the rest of the boxes on top. After watching your video I am not sure that I will get it. I might buy it to try it out and return it if it doesn't work out. I got my first PackOut set when they came out originally, I like them so much that I ended up getting a second set. After using them for a while, I ended up selling the rolling tool boxes. They just got in the way, getting to the stuff inside I had to unload the whole stack. I got the dolly and it has been a way better solution than the rolling toolboxes. I am thinking that this box might be the same issue. The other thing I notice is the way the other boxes will be stacked and locked it is going to be difficult to get to any boxes stacked on the right hand side. It will definitely not be usable with the PackOut drawers.

    • @TheDurbinCompound
      @TheDurbinCompound  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Big downfall. The stacks are put on the same direction so the front stack has to be moved in order to access the second stack.

    I think with something this big, you're better off just getting a big truck tool box. The kind of tools you would probably be putting in a big tool box like this would be big, bulky, and heavy. Probably better to store in a big bulky tool box, and make trips to the truck/shed for your big-heavy-bulky tool.

    • @TheDurbinCompound
      @TheDurbinCompound  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think Milwaukee totally missed the boat on A non-locking handle. That means you cannot push it. Even if you’re in a tight space and want to turn it around it would be very frustrating because you cannot push on the handle. I have a ton of Milwaukee pack out and many many cordless tools, And love most all of them. But this is a total failure in my books, only being able to pull this box and not push it.
