I had a 2007 4.2L and 2014 4.7L, it's an amazing car that you never get tired of driving or looking at.. The 4.7L is quick enough, the 4.2L isn't. Yes you can actually carry 4 adults, not for more than an hour though. Both were as reliable as a regular car BUT if you have any problems, it'll cost around 3 times more to fix. Plus the parts can take more than a month to arrive from Italy. Also upkeep isn't cheap, where I live at a Maserati dealership it's $700 for an oil change . You may find an independent that can do it for less or attempt it yourself. Also they depreciate like a rock; bad if you buy one new, great if you're buying one used. I'm driving a Jaguar F-Type v6 S now that I really love, but who knows, maybe I'll go back to Maserati at some point down the road,

Thanks for the positive review. I own a GranTurismo S and GranCabrio S both 2011s and they have been reliable, beautiful and fast enough at 4.6-4.9s 0-60 MPH. And amazingly on long trips I got 26 MPG! Plus they fit actual adults in the rear seats! Some day I hope their values reflect their Ferrari built and based V8s that SOUND amazing! 5.7 Seconds is really not a big deal these days.
Considering the cost of maintanance plus the cost of extraordinarily expensive parts, the cost of 'prima donna' Italian dealers and mechanics plus the cost of fuel these days, it's a bloody expensive excercise just to experience the feel and sound of a Ferrari inspired engine.
Don't be fooled, unless you have deep pockets, an understanding spouse or you are a clued up mechanic, owning a Maserati may wreck your marriage or severely test your bank balance..
When finally you come to offload your dream car, expect to be insulted with low offers...

The most fun car I've ever driven. It just has to be experienced. And I've owned Porsche, M3, M6, Corvette ZR1, and an NSX. My 2014 GT is hands down my fav of all time, to drive!!!
