What did you think of the final looks?

Hi Will, I have a question and some thoughts I had. What do you think about removing the filter from the front of the mic? It's technically not needed since you aren't using the live audio in your final edit. It would free up the area in front of his face. For a potential client watching the video they may not understand why that filter needs to be there. So not having it in the video would eliminate a potential concern from the client.

My thoughts exactly however Matt really wanted it be as authentic as possible so requested the filter be left in place

This looks sick. My main question how did you record the audio?

Thanks Will! for this shoot the audio was pre recorded and mastered in the same studio we shot in. We played the masters nice and loud and Mat sang along to the masters. I captured rough audio through my on camera mics and then synchronised them all together in final cut pro using multi-cam clips. thanks for watching 👍🙏😎

@Will Chidlow awesome. I'm shooting a music video soon so I'm starting to do my research and this video popped up right in time!

I think the final look is awesome!!
I’m curious what your thoughts are on using an anamorphic lens for some (or all) of the shots to catch some flares.

Yeah that would have been awesome. I’ve not played with anamorphic shooting much but love the look. If I’d have wanted more flairs I’d probably have opted for a streak filter as it avoids needing a whole anamorphic setup and can be used with my current camera/lenses. Thanks for watching 👍🙏😎

Great video - love the atmosphere you created here. I just subbed as your proxies video came up as the SECOND recommendation when I search for how to use them (and it's way better than the first one I watched). I'm just learning how to film and edit I think I'll be on a binge of your channel 😊 I've got 2 channels, my other one is more of a vlog/ info style. I think your channel is about to take off by the way - you've got lovely clear presentation and interesting subjects. Try niching down a bit and doing a few mini series on topics that are working best for you, it looks like you're searching for your unique thing and I think you'll find it. I did the same with my other channel, when you find your thing you need to expand on it. You should have way more views, you're fab.. keep going ❤
